The History of Hyundai

Hyundai is a Korean automaker with its first car introduced into the American marketplace in 1986. The product line for Hyundai has improved considerably throughout the years. Hyundai cars provide a high level of dependability due to being backed by one of the industry's best warranties. Not only are Hyundai cars affordable and reliable, they make up one of the largest companies in the world.

Hyundai Motor Company was founded by Ju-Yung Chung and his younger brother Se-Yung Chung in December 1967.The first Hyundai business's duty was building automobiles while the second Hyundai Company concentrated on construction.

Most of South Korea's modern infrastructure is thanks in part to Hyundai in the period after the cessation of the Korean War in 1953 and on through the 1970s. Many different things were built by Hyundai Civil Industries including dams, a shipbuilding yard, an expressway, and a nuclear power plant.

Hyundai conquered the Korean market and quickly became a chief player on the international scene. By the 1970s Hyundai began to build vessels as well as shipyards and by 1986 Hyundai produced its first vehicle made entirely from Korean components. From the 1980s onward Hyundai added further specialties like the building of magnetic levitation trains and semiconductor.

Hyundai vehicles and Hyundai parts today are made with quality and care. The quality, performance and overall desirability of Hyundai cars have rapidly increased. Though Hyundai's product lineup is smaller than those of most other manufacturers, it gains economies of scale through Kia, another Korean auto brand, which it purchased in 1998. Now a day, Hyundai is known for producing vehicles that offer huge value at low prices.

iChange - iPhone Car

iChange car by Ringspped is a seriously cool car...it's a gadget lovers dream! If you’re the type who might forget your keys but not your iPhone, Swiss car design maker Rinspeed is rolling out a concept car for you. The car will be on show this week at the Geneva Motor Show (8th March 2009).
Called iChange, it features a no-key ignition that starts via an iPhone. The device clips onto the dash, once the phone is inserted, a green “start” button appears on the iPhone’s display. With a touch of a button, the iChange purrs to life. From the iPhone, drivers can also control stuff like headlights, too.
View iChange videos here

But the name iChange isn’t limited to the iPhone ignition. The car also adapts to the number of passengers: “In seconds a streamlined one-seater sports car transforms into a comfortable car with ample room for three. The trick: At the push of a button, the rear end of the teardrop-shaped car magically pops up.”

The Real Supermini Aston Martin Cygnet

Famous for their range of iconic British sports cars, Aston Martin have been focusing on widening their market lately, firstly with the Rapide, a four door sports saloon and now with the micro sized Cygnet. The announcement raised a lot of eyebrows as the car is so far from the typical type of car that the car manufacturer sells. Aston Martins official line is that the Cygnet is a "luxury commuter car" which "sees the company's core values engage with a new environment". The actual reason for the Cygnet's existence is to help the company comply with European emission rules. The high efficiency of the new super mini helping to bring down the average emissions across the range.

Announced in mid 2009, the first Cygnet's will start hitting the roads sometime in 2010. Despite its diminutive size the car certainly still has an Aston Martin price tag, expected to sell for around £30,000 ($50,000 USD). To retain exclusivity further still, the Cygnet will only be available to existing Aston Martin owners with annual production expected to be below 5000.

Despite the high cost, the Cygnet is not a bespoke design and is actually based on the Toyota iQ - a low cost micro car which originally launched in 2008. Beneath the heavy modifications which give the Cygnet its signature Aston Martin looks, the car underpinnings of the initial models will share much with it's Toyota brother - even down to the engine which will be the stock Toyota 1.33 liter. The actual differences will be mainly cosmetic most obviously with the exterior which has sees new body panels and lights. The end result resembles a DB9 which has been squeezed from bumper to bonnet in a vice. The interior of the Cygnet has also seen a revamp and from the inside feels closer to a classic elegance than to the Toyota that the mini Aston is based upon.

The Cygnet has received a very mixed response since its announcement and it remains to be seen how the car will fare once available. To expensive for the typical micro car owner and frankly, too embarrassing to be driven by existing Aston Martin owners. If the Cygnet really is purely an exercise in emission compliance then the reality is Aston Martin will be producing 5000 cars a year which will rarely leave the garage - not exactly the environmentally friendly result that the European Union were aiming for.

BMW - Past, Present and Future

The demand for BMW's is high. This stylish and classy car is a safe riding vehicle. They handle well on the road and are attractive to look at.

In Germany, in 1916, the Bavarian Motor Works began manufacture of these cars. They successfully produced motorcycles and Rolls-Royce as well. At one time, prior to World War 1, they made aircraft engines,
The logo on the cars is circular on a blue background. It is said to be representative of an airplane propeller. The fact that it is an airplane propeller is in dispute. It is agreed, however, that the blue background is the same blue as the flag of Bavaria.

The Bavarian Motor Works has continued to manufacture the vehicles. There were a total of 1,366,838 of the four-wheeled vehicles made in 2006. In 2009, there were 1,258,417 of them manufactured. I addition, 82,631 of their motorcycles were produced in 2009.

The motorcycle was built in the United States; 105,172 of them in 2006. Again a large number were built in 2008; 170,741 to be exact. There were the popular BMW X5 and X6 models. There are manufacturing plants, in the US, Germany and three other countries.

These are popular vehicles all throughout the U.S. They are high quality and easy to drive, being well-known for their ability to hold the road. Admirable sporty chassis and the good driving capabilities causes them to remain in demand at the new car dealership, as well as a reliable used car.

All the people who can afford them, including movie actors and their agents want them. All the new car dealers do a good business. They are sought after at used car lots and mechanics skilled in repairing them are in demand.
A luxury BMW SUV is also a luxury vehicle. It is often purchased as much for its status symbol reputation as other reasons. Sometimes it is bought simply because it handles the road better than other SUVs.

The X5 is characterized by its lower riding chassis as well as classy performance. An immediately popular SUV, it is widely sold. The SUV was manufactured at the American plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
One less than perfect feature is limited space inside the vehicle. It only seats five people. That was the X5. Now, when the 2007 model was designed, that was corrected. It now has more cargo space and room for seven passengers.

There are three models produced now. The X5 x Drive 30i, the turbo diesel x Drive 35d and the X5 x Drive 48i. Buyers love having a choice of three different models and the three engine sizes to choose from.
You can get all-wheel drive, which is a standard feature. There is an optional third-row seat. It is not standard though. This is a sporty yet family oriented SUV. No other manufacturers can compete with these three models of BMW SUVs.

The passengers can ride in comfort and the driver can enjoy the easy-driving car. The material on the interior is of a good quality. The third passenger seat in the back is small and suited more to a child than a full grown adult.

The Fourvette Concept Corvette

Every so often the powers that be at GM come up with a Corvette notion that is four doors and family friendly. The very perception is enough to make even the strongest stomach Corvette fanatic sick but low and behold the Fourvette is born.

This time the notion of a four door Corvette is more than just words and GM has actually made a concept car version of what the production Fourvette might look like. Hopefully this is as far as the Fourvette goes, but it certainly isn't the end of the sickness you will feel in the pit of your stomach when you hear the next tid bit of info on the Fourvette.

In addition to the four doors, the Fourvette will include a six cylinder engine. This is supposedly to market to the women of America, but if they can drive the big soccer mom V8 SUVs, why can't they drive a V8 Corvette? A more fitting question is why they are even considering such a vehicle?

Here's the problem. Last year Porsche came out with a four door called the Panamera and although it looks like a stretched out turtle, the sales are unbelievable. So unbelievable that GM is thinking of following suit. However, the birth of the Fourvette could be the death of the Corvette.

Owning a Corvette has always been something that you do as a reward for yourself. You don't buy a Vette so that you can load up the kids and take them to soccer practice right before you go to the grocery store. In fact the mere sight of a baby seat inside a Corvette would be enough to put you into exile with your Corvette club.
Now it seems that GM may want to curb all that the Corvette has come to be in it's almost 60 years of existence and redefine it as a family car. So the great American icon will become the greater family icon? Not to say that women can't own Corvettes, but why does the Corvette have to be four doors and six cylinders?

Hopefully this is as far as it goes and perhaps GM is only doing this to gain a little bit of notoriety and some publicity. The last time that a four door Corvette went to concept was back in 1963 and if not for the pictures of that four door Corvette, no one would have believed the story. While it is up for debate as to why that model never made it to the production line, the fact remains that it never made it to the production line.

In 1963 GM was wise enough back then to destroy that version of the four door Corvette and say, "What four door, we don't have any four door," so hopefully they will be just as wise with the Fourvette. While the name is nifty, the notion of an actual four door Corvette being put into production is anything but. While a picture is worth a thousand words, a picture of the Fourvette is only worth three; no thank you.

The 2010 Hyundai Sonata

Offering a lot of accessories for a relatively small price, the 2010 Hyundai Sonata is a great choice for consumers who need a family sedan. In '09 the model was entirely revamped, having been given a much need quality upgrade on the interior. Outside the body is relatively modest yet still looks like it deserves to be in the 21st century. The Sonata is a sleeper car where consumers won't notice exactly what it offers until they get and drive one. Having a great range of accessories and trim packages, consumers have a lot of choices to make at the car lot.

As mentioned before the interior quality of construction and materials has been greatly improved in recent years. The vehicle is more closely related to a luxury vehicle on the inside than most competitors. The plethora of available options make this an ideal vehicle, especially when comparing basic models with those of competitors. For virtually the same price as another manufacturers basic model, you can get what seems like a fully loaded vehicle from Hyundai.

Trim packages available include the CLS, SE and Limited Editions. Basic GLS models have remote keyless entry, AC, cruise control, heated mirrors, comfortable seats, 60/40 rear seats, leather steering wheels and shift knobs. For an additional price consumers can get accessory controls on the steering, Bluetooth, sunroofs, and wood grain accents. For a basic model there is a whole lot the Hyundai is offering for the 22010 Hyundai Sonata. Nearly more accessories are available on this base model than some mid-level packages offered by competitors.

Se models have 17 inch alloy wheels, automatic headlamps, rear spoiler, sport suspension, telescoping steering wheels, chrome interior and exterior accents, tech ports, and an optional 6 CD changer. Limited Edition models have basically the same features as the SE equipped models, with just a few extras. Standard features include auto dimming mirrors, dual zone climate controls, and an excellent stereo systems. There are many other options that consumers can choose from on most models to customize the vehicle to their own preferences.

For engines the 2010 Hyundai Sonata comes with a 2.4 liter four cylinder that gives out 175 horsepower and 168 foot pounds of torque. The other engine offered is 3.3 liter V-6 engine that gives 249 horsepower. The smaller engine gets 22 mpg city and 32 mpg highway. Models equipped with the larger engine get a fuel economy of 19 mpg city and 29 mpg highway. The overall fuel economy is relatively decent and comparable to most competitors in the family sedan market, if not slightly better than some.

Standard safety features for these cars include antilock brakes, front airbags, side airbags, and full curtain airbags, and head restraints. For frontal impact crash tests the 2010 Hyundai Sonata scored perfect. Side impact crash tests were rated perfect as well. The braking capabilities are what makes this one of the safest vehicles. Both engines on any model were brought to a complete stop from 60 mpg in 126 feet.

There are a lot of good things to be said about the 2010 Hyundai Sonata. perhaps the most noticeable feature is how many interior options consumers will receive for the price that they pay. Engine performance is another area that these vehicles excel. Models equipped with the 3.3 liter V-6 are more than adequately powered, and may lead consumers to feel like they are driving a sports car, rather than a family sedan. Ride quality and overall passenger comfort makes this one of the best all around vehicles in the class, and the price tag only further solidifies that notion.

The 2010 Ford Flex V-6

For the first time in 2010, the Ford Flex is offered with the automaker's new EcoBoost V-6 engine. This engine, which is available as an option, is a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 that produces 355 horsepower and 350 pound feet of torque. This is an efficient engine that generates more power than many V-8s in the Flex's sport-utility vehicle ("SUV") class.

The Flex in base form comes with a 262 horsepower V-6 engine that produces 248 pound feet of torque. It is an interesting model by Ford that with its boxy appearance, fits somewhere between the combination of a full-size SUV and a station wagon. However, the Flex EcoBoost makes the model more stylish. The EcoBoost model comes standard with 10-spoke wheels, 20" rims, and dual tipped exhaust. The model also has an EcoBoost badge on the rear tail gate.

The Flex gets significantly better performance in EcoBoost form. Its 0-60 time is nearly two seconds quicker than the base model. The Flex EcoBoost comes standard with a six-speed automatic transmission and manual shift mode option. It averages 16 miles per gallon in the city and 22 miles per gallon on the highway, which is slightly better than many comparable V-8 models in its class. The model is rated to tow 4,500 pounds and offers hill decent control.

The Flex EcoBoost is a powerful, stylish and spacious family vehicle. It has a high quality interior with many useful features. However, all this power and interior features come with a price. The suggested retail price of the Flex EcoBoost is near $40,000. The Flex EcoBoost is worth considering in the crossover SUV class.

Passion for Porsche Rims

While most people think car enthusiasts are only passionate about buying the car and driving it, another passion soon emerges while conversing with them. Not only are they enthusiastic about their cars, they love hunting for new car parts. Among these, the Porsche enthusiasts love digging out Porsche car parts. What is it about a Porsche car part that fascinates people?

Not only does the person own a premium quality car, but also with car parts, he can even personalize it.

Porsche parts are available widely and numerous car enthusiasts exchange their parts regularly. However, one of the more popular Porsche parts is the Porsche rims.

The rims are the metal body of the wheels. When buying a rim, you should opt for one with a larger diameter. This reduces the sidewall of the rubber tire, thus increasing your handling. The bigger the wheels, the better the handling is. Turning corners at high speeds are a feature offered by the bigger wheels.

Always ensure that the manufacturer of your Porsche rims is a reputed one. Paying a hefty amount for a good set of rims is a wiser decision than paying less for one of questionable quality. In addition, better quality rims will last you longer, and perhaps even keep you safer at high speeds. A reputed parts shop should have parts all the way from the 1950s to the present year. Thus, you can find a part for your car irrespective of how old the model is. If the price of a new set of Porsche rims puts you off, you could always look through some used parts. Many used parts are available in good shape, and you could save a good amount of money.

Porsche Rims are known for their variety in design and their distinct looks. You can find them in different types of polishes and colors. If bought from a reputed dealer, you also get a warranty attached to them.

No matter which Porsche parts you intend to buy, make sure that the dealer or manufacturer hold a good reputation. Also, explore all your options, such as online dealers and local dealers before buying a particular part. Most importantly, enjoy the search for the parts you want.

The 2010 Jeep Wrangler

The history that has lead to the 2010 Jeep Wrangler is nothing more than astonishing. Starting out as a WWII troop transport vehicle, it has become the standard for all off road vehicles. Power and off road capabilities are what keeps customers coming back for these wonderful vehicles. Surprisingly not much has changed on the exterior of these Jeeps in a long time. There is still the basic box style body that is almost unmistakable from any other vehicle on the market. On the inside there are certainly some features that make this vehicle more modern than it's predecessors.

Ride quality and handling characteristics are unique to this vehicle. Consumers will notice that it drives and handles very stiff compared with other vehicles. Compared with vehicles that have been engineered for mostly street driving, the 2010 Jeep Wrangler has a hard time keeping up. Fortunately those qualities aren't what Jeep owners want or need. If you purchase a Wrangler, chances are it is because you want to have some off-roading fun. It may well be the most capable off road vehicle due to it's size, hard core drive axle, and differential systems.

Trim packages available include the X, Sahara, and Rubicon. The X model is practically devoid of any modern amenities we commonly associate with a vehicle. They come with ability to have a closed or open cabin, possibly a stereo system with a CD player, and the plain old jeep seats. Sahara models comes with more interior options including possible power accessories on properly equipped vehicles. Dashboard accessories and available features still aren't highly developed on the Sahara when comparing with other mid-level vehicles of any class. Rubicon Wranglers have heavy duty axles with very low gearing and a electronic transfer case for both the front and rear. In the recent years Jeep has decided to offer two different body styles; the two door short base (original), and a long wheel based 4 door model.

There's really not much to say about these vehicles, besides what everybody already knows. They are hard core off road vehicles with raised bodies, and very low geared 4 wheel drive systems. Compared with previous year models there isn't a lot that is different besides the availability of extended wheel base models. Interior amenities like navigation systems, full power accessories, and optional CD changers are the only factors that would let consumers know that this vehicle actually has entered the 21st century.

The Volkswagen Scirocco

It was the mid nineties and I wanted something different to drive. Having just sold a fairly well worn but solid 1980 GTV, the one with chrome bumpers, I was still in a fastback coupe phase so the Scirocco was a natural choice at the time.

Finding a Scirocco in half decent condition was a difficult job as most had been driven to within an inch of its life. Finally I came across one while buying parts at the trade counter of a VW garage. It was a 1984 Scirocco Storm with electrics and leather, covered in dust and general garage junk, but it looked original. A deal was struck and I took it away that week, after a bit of playing around it was up and running, and it wasn't a bad car at all, very original. There was one big problem, it was brown. Not tan, this car was chocolate brown with tan leather, luckily it had escaped the vinyl roof surgery.

I was reminded of this car when I was behind one in traffic recently. I used to wash my one with pride, loved cruising in it, and now I was looking at this one with a gasp of shock at how awful it looked! Its covered in cheap plastic moldings on the body that look like they were fitted with a hammer. The front end looks misaligned, the driver looks like hes too close to the steering wheel, it just looks all wrong. What the hell was I thinking?

Mazda has released an iPhone app designed to make motorists lives that little bit easier should they break down.
The application is part of their roadside assistance program which enables Mazda drivers to send their breakdown location directly to Mazda by using the app's GPS functionality. This is just the latest example of how the iPhone's functionality is being used to make lives a little bit easier.

The app is free to download for all those who are signed up to Mazda's roadside assistance plan. Once the driver has sent their location through the app they will then have a notification 'pushed' to their iPhone which allows them to concentrate on other matters.

The app has been designed so that it's easy to use - it gathers information about the vehicle through a simple questionnaire so that the roadside assistance team know all the information they need to know.

It currently runs on the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS and is only available in the US - so you will have to keep an eye out to see when it hits the UK.

The first roadside assistance app was introduced by an American road agency. So, keep an eye out for more roadside apps.

You'll also notice a lot of car dealers launching new mobile sites that are designed exclusively for the iPhone. This is so that people can browse through their selection of used cars whilst they are on go. It basically makes their services more convenient and accessible - especially as mobile browsing is really taking off.

The Lexus LFA Reviews

Every driver who has test driven the Lexus LFA has praised the amazing and awe-aspiring performance of the car. The LFA is an exotic two seater, front engine, rear wheel drive coupe. The major component used in the body and chassis are carbon fibre composite; that is why the car has a curb weight of only 3263 pounds. The lightweight 4.8L V10 engine has been placed as far back as possible. This compact 553hp engine generates a head spinning 9000rpm in 6/10th of a second. The accelerator is extremely sensitive and even if the driver just twitches his toes, the engine rpm climbs instantly. You must plant your left foot firmly on the floor to control the acceleration.

The LFA has an unparalleled low centre of gravity of 17 ¾", right under the steering wheel. This makes the LFA stick to the road surface, and there is very little chance of over or under steering the car. If you happen to over steer and the rear wheels spin out, the car corrects it by itself, as if there are two assistants steering the rear wheels; and all this when your speedometer is in three digits. The ceramic brakes work extremely well, and the steering feedback is positive even though it is electric power steering.

The LFA has been designed to create maximum down force, and the Gurney flap comes into play once you cross the 50 mph marks. The six speed automatic sequential gearbox, with steering mounted paddles, is smooth and easy to operate; in fact, the gear shift is extremely fast. Take the car to 50mph, place it in sixth gear, press down on the throttle and you will cross the 100mph in the blink of an eye. That is how fast and smooth the car is.
Push the rpm to the redline limit and the console display changes colour and the car starts emitting warning beeps. The cockpit is designed to resemble that of a jet fighter and the seats are supportive and comfortable.

The LFA has been driven on race tracks and on normal roads; its drive has been excellent under all conditions. There are four driving modes for the driver to select from, which are normal, sports, automatic and wet. No one wants to potter around the town in such a lovely super car. It is a car that is meant to be driven on the German autobahns and open roads.

The sound from the triple exhaust resembles that of a formula1, which adds to the thrill of the car. Lexus engineers have been so weight conscious that even the sound system is a specially made lightweight unit.

The Lexus LFA team has done an outstanding job in designing and building the LFA. It may not be the fastest car in the market of super cars, but it is definitely one of the best built cars in this class. Every person who has reviewed and test driven the LFA has praised its bewildering performance, stability, agility and excellent build quality. It is a bad news that Lexus only plans to build 500 of these super cars.

Toyota Rav4 - 2010

The Rav4 has certainly made a name for itself in the mid-size crossover SUV market. Benefits of these vehicles include a great V6 engine and an optional third row seat. There have been minor changes both inside and out for the 2010 Toyota Rav4 making it an even more refined vehicle. With room for possibly 7 people it is capable of acting like a full size SUV while retaining it's wonderful fuel economy. Compared with vehicles like the Ford Escape, the Rav4 has been more adept to change. The new model is probably one of the most modern looking in it's class.

Trim packages available include the Base, Sport and Limited. Front or all wheel drive is choice for all these packages along with either a 4 or 6 cylinder engine. Base models come with standard features like limited slip differentials on front drive models, AC, full power accessories, remote keyless entry, CD players, electric power driver seats, and cruise controls. Base models that have 4 wheel drive come with 17 inch alloy wheels that are only offered as optional equipment on 2 wheel drive models.

Sport packages have standard 18 inch alloy wheels. Other features include different exterior accents, suspension designed for highway driving, different location for spare tires than the rear door, run flat tires, heated mirrors, and leather steering wheels. As a mid-level package the Sport models offer enough amenities to compete with high-end models of vehicles like the Ford Escape and Chevy Trailblazer.

Limited Edition packages have a regularly tuned suspension system and are reduced back to 17 inch alloy wheels. they have heated mirrors as well, roof rails, remote ignition starters, dual climate controls, upgraded audio systems that have a 6 CD changer, and optional satellite radio. The limited edition is offered with the V6 engine only. Another set of interesting features for these packages is a hill start assist, and down hill start assist system to relieve the transmission.

It is important to note that all these vehicles were mainly designed for highway driving. Though they do have capable 4 wheel drive systems, they will fair better in poor conditions on the highway than in mud. Overall handling characteristics are very nice and offer a great ride quality and limited road noise.

The engines offered are a 2.5 liter four cylinder that give 179 horsepower and 172 pound feet of torque, and a 3.5 liter V6 that produces 269 horsepower and a whopping 246 pound feet of torque. The smaller engine gets a fuel economy of 22 mpg city and 28 mpg highway. The larger engine comes in with 19 mpg city, and 27 mpg highway. Outfitted with a towing package these vehicles can haul up to 3,500 pounds.

The 2010 Toyota Rav4 comes with standard safety features like traction control, front head restraints, stability control, front and side airbags, and full curtain airbags. In crash tests these vehicles received mixed reviews. In frontal crashes, drivers safety got a perfect score, while passenger safety only received 4 out of 5 stars. Side impact tests were rather similar as well, receiving mostly perfect scores.

Rav4 models have become very popular in recent years, and for good reason. They offer very classy bodies and interiors, along with more than capable 4 wheel drive systems. As a city vehicle they are well adept for parking in small places, and can hold their own out in the country as well. Consumers looking for an all around vehicle capable of handling poor driving conditions, and hauling a decent sized family should really enjoy owning one of these renowned Toyota vehicles.

Great Thing About Hybrid Cars

Gas prices are getting higher and higher. As a result, more consumers are trying to boost their fuel economy as best they can. One way they are doing so is to look for alternatives such as hybrid cars. Hybrid cars mix the standard technology with an electric motor and Lithium ion batter.

One hybrid car consumer is Andrea Williams, a 29-year-old landscape architect. She purchased her first car in Spring of 2007, and chose the Nissan Altima Hybrid. She was one of the first purchasers of this hybrid, a mid-sized sedan that had only come out January of that year.

Ms. Williams took a number of factors into account when she made her purchasing decision, including fuel efficiency, environmental impact, size, and tax incentives. Because she was one of the first consumers to purchase a hybrid auto, she got the tax refund of around $2300, which was the full sales tax amount paid on the car.

Hybrids have more going for them than just tax breaks of course. Because of very high fuel costs recently, hybrids also save on gas. Williams told us that the Altima Hybrid gets an average of 36 miles per gallon, and t his adds up to some real savings.

Andrea has seen her fuel dollar go further as a result. She has a friend who drives the traditional 2007 Nissan Altima. Her friend spends an average of $100 per week on her one hour commute, while Andrea spends only $75 for her commute of equal length.

She says she would not consider going back to a traditional car now, because of savings and also that there are no carbon emissions from hybrid cars.
Interestingly, she also says that there is a sense of camaraderie among drivers of hybrids. This is a kind of intangible benefit, beyond the economic and environmental pluses of these cars. One time, she reports, she was in traffic when another Altima Hybrid driver rolled up alongside, put her window down, and gave her a thumbs up sign.

Hybrids offer a number of advantages, and Nissan is just one manufacturer who have hybrids in their lineups. You can also try Saturn, Ford, Toyota, Honda, and Lexus for hybrid vehicles, and there are options from compact cars to SUVs.

Aston Martin - Performance Sports Cars

Aston Martin is a name that needs very little introduction. It is a brand that has always stood for high performance sports cars designed and produced by skilled craftsmen. The British automaker has recently brought to light its intent to be known for not only offering a lavish sports car, but a fuel efficient one as well. The new city cars will focus on the duties of transportation and not just getting from zero to 60 as quickly as possible.

Originally, Aston Martin was known primarily in the racing circles. By the time the 1920's had rolled around, the brand had made its first overseas appearance, participating in the French Grand Prix. The brand was quickly able to make a name for itself with popular racing cars such as the streamlined 1934 Ulster. Every car produced by this top brand is a product of today's technology. New resources along with new investments in the latest computer aided designs are ensuring that the future for this car brand is as bright as its past.

Over the past 90 years, Aston Martin has produced quality sports cars. The inspiration for the company itself began when founders Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford wanted to build distinctive sports cars that were exhilarating to drive. Martin was a regular competitor in the hill climb races at Aston Clinton and the simple combination of the name of the event and the name of the driver gave birth to one of the most famous automotive marques ever.

The fact that the company Aston Martin is still around today is a testament to its enduring strength and quality of its vehicles. Since its founding in 1914 the company has gone through more than half a dozen owners and been propelled to near-icon status thanks to its involvement in the James Bond films. Some of the more popular cars today include the DBS Volante with its combination of sports car characteristics and open-air motoring. The V8 Vantage is a great example of modern automotive design. A hand-crafted sports car that offers excellent performance, incredible agility and everyday usability. You even have the option of designing your own car just the way you want it.
