Audi A7 Hit The Marketplace by 2011

The Audi Present A7 in 2010 , the new design , fast car and also beautiful , just Audi can make you happy .

We spotted the new Audi A7 an hour outside of Oslo, Norway. There were two of them - dressed in camo - in an entourage of several black cars with german registration plates. According to Audi Norway the car officially will be shown on the Moscow Car Show in august this year

Audi A7 confirmed for USA and maybe S8 but no A5 Sportback HQ

North American consumers should expect to see the Audi A7 hit the marketplace by 2011. The news comes from Johan de Nysschen, an Audi executive, who spoke with Autoblog last week.

Likewise, the executive sees the likelihood of the Audi S8 turning a profit in North America. "I think it's pretty safe to assume that an S model is in the wings," he told an Autoblog reporter.
"We always have a high-performance version. And that, of course, will be in the normal wheelbase version."

Chevrolet Aveo may get a new name‎ ?

The 2011 Chevrolet Aveo, which made its production debut at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, may drop its name when it begins production in the United States.

GM’s North American President Mark Reuss said that Orion will become home to Chevrolet’s new small car and the Buick Verano compact sedan. GM never called the Chevy small car the Aveo in the release.

"Chevrolet Aveo" is currently the name for the Chevrolet subcompact import from South Korea. The name never has quite caught on even though it was on sale well before other competitors entered the segment, like Honda Fit or Toyota Yaris. Rick Kranz's column in Automotive News mentions the first crack in the wall: word from General Motor North American sales chief that the name Chevrolet Aveo remains in question. That saves money and increases profit if can also sell them under the same names, creating a worldwide identity.

In a story clear out of left-field, we've learned that Chevrolet may be considering dropping the "Aveo" name for the new model of its compact hatch.

In a shocking development, GM's President of North America, Mark Reuss, explains to Automotive News that the Aveo name is, as AN puts it, "difficult to pronounce and confuses customers." Sarcasm aside, GM no doubt realizes that the Aveo name doesn't resonate especially well with consumers thanks to sub-optimal perceptions of the current model (and all past models, for that matter).

Toyota Corola recall?

Toyota Corola recall
The automaker says it will recall 1 million 2005 to 2008 model year vehicles to address a problem with an electronic component that can cause the cars to stall. The recall also affects 200,000 Pontiac Vibe models.

"Toyota has recalled more than 1 million of its Corolla and Matrix cars, just days after U.S. auto safety regulators stepped up a probe into the risk that the vehicles could stall because of defective electronic engine control units. The recall also affects 200,000 Pontiac Vibe models built by a joint venture between General Motors Co. and Toyota".

Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. said Thursday that the recall of the 2005 to 2008 model year vehicles sold in North America was to address a problem with an electronic component called an engine control module that might have been improperly manufactured. No other Toyota or Lexus vehicles are involved in this recall.

Toyota has known about the engine problem since 2005, when it issued dealers a notice — called a technical service bulletin — that explained how to fix it. "We have known about the fact that there have been complaints of stalling engines," Toyota spokesman John Hanson said. Before the recall, if a customer complained about the issue the dealer would be expected to make a repair during the warranty period and charge the expense to the automaker. Toyota plans to replace the module on all of the recalled vehicles at no charge to owners. It will mail notice of the recall to owners starting in mid-September. Car owners with questions can go to http://www.toyota.com/recall or call Toyota at (800) 331-4331.
The Vibe was designed and engineered by Toyota, GM said.

Toyota's announcement today that it will, indeed, recall 1.1 million Corollas and Matrixes for computer glitches that can cause them to stall in traffic marks the 15th Toyota or Lexus recall so far this year, Toyota says.

Peugeot 508 :The new large Peugeot will come with a range of six engines

The new large Peugeot will come with a range of six engines, including naturally-aspirated and turbocharged versions of the 1.6-litre petrol unit, but it's the four diesels which are of most interest.

There's also a two-litre diesel, producing 140bhp with manual transmission or 163bhp if linked to an automatic gearbox, but the most significant unit of them all is the 112bhp 1.6 HDi. Air intakes create drag, and by closing them when they're not needed Peugeot has been able to improve the key "green" figures to 56.0mpg and 109g/km.

'We are still selling the same number of cars, but in different parts of the world,' says Vincent Rambeaud, head of Peugeot.

The Peugeot 508 will be made and sold in China from next autumn, six months after French-built versions go on sale in Europe. More than 90% of the increase is in the wheelbase to improve rear legroom – chauffeur-driven cars are hugely important in China – but boot space has also improved thanks to a longer rear overhang. Greener for Europe
European requirements are as much to the fore in the Peugeot 508 as the demands of the Chinese market, however. Other engines are a 112bhp 1.6-litre diesel, including an e-HDi version with next-generation stop-start; 140bhp and 163bhp 2.0-litre diesels; and 120bhp and 156bhp 1.6-litre petrol units.

In autumn 2011, a diesel hybrid system – using the 163bhp HDi engine to drive the front wheels and a 37bhp electric motor to power the rears – will be added to the range. The 508 is the first production car to feature Peugeot 508 new design language, which features a floating grille instead of the gaping mouth of the previous-generation cars.

Rapid, efficient and silent, e-HDi combines reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emissions (up to -15% in town) with maximum driveability. It is mated with the 1.6 litre HDi FAP engine coupled with the electronically-controlled 6-speed manual gearbox so that a maximum number of customers can benefit from the lowest possible fuel consumption.

New 2.2 litre HDi FAP 6-speed automatic gearbox: Powerful, lively and fuel efficient

A new 2.2 litre HDi FAP 204bhp engine, with a maximum torque of 450Nm from 2000rpm tops the 508 range in a ‘GT’ version, and features a special suspension set-up.

Hyundai Tucsons Review

2010 Hyundai Tucson's Review
the 2010 Hyundai Tucson Affordable Compact SUVs. This ranking is based on our analysis of 16 published reviews and test drives of the Hyundai Tucson, and our analysis of reliability and safety data.

While it previously lagged behind competitors, the Hyundai Tucson gets a much-needed redesign that gives it greater power, more style and nearly best-in-class highway fuel economy.

That makes it one of the most fuel-efficient gas-only SUVs in its class.

The "2010 Hyundai Tucson's" performance is generally pleasant, though it won’t provide much excitement.

When the Hyundai Tucson debuted for the 2005 model year, it represented Hyundai's first entry in the long-established small SUV segment.

Enter the second-generation Hyundai Tucson's, which arrived for 2010 with sharp exterior styling and a slick interior to match. "Current Hyundai Tucson
The five-passenger Hyundai Tucson is a car-based compact SUV".

Unlike many small SUVs, the "Hyundai Tucson's" is available only with a single engine: a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine good for 176 horsepower and 168 pound-feet of torque. The Tucson is available in GLS and Limited trim levels. The Limited adds alloy wheels, leather upholstery, heated front seats, a tilt-and-telescoping multifunction steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control and Bluetooth. Used Hyundai Tucson Models

The current, second-generation Hyundai Tucson debuted for the 2010 model year.

The first-generation Tucson was produced from 2005-2009. Every first-generation Hyundai Tucson had antilock brakes, stability control, front seat-mounted side airbags and full-length side curtain airbags.

The base GL was powered by a 140-horsepower, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine mated to either a five-speed manual (mandatory on AWD models) or a four-speed automatic transmission. The top-shelf Limited model boasted items such as a sunroof, leather seats, automatic climate control and an upgraded audio system. In reviews, we praised the first-generation Tucson for its roomy interior and generous list of standard comfort and safety features.

Hyundai Elantra Reviews

The 2010 Hyundai Elantra, reviewers give high marks to the 2010 Hyundai Elantra. Additionally, it offers good cargo capacity for a small sedan and has a rear seat that is actually comfortable -- a quality that is exceptionally rare among affordable small cars. The attractive base price can increase very quickly as you begin to add features. BaseHyundai Elantra do offer some features as standard, such as power windows/doors and remote keyless entry. The Forte also offers more standard safety features than the Elantra and has a starting price of around $500 less.

Still, if you can afford the extra cost, the Elantra is an excellent choice. The 2010 Hyundai Elantra comes in three trims – the new base Blue trim (with better fuel economy), the upgraded GLS and the top-of-the line SE. Hyundai also offers a wagon model called the Hyundai Elantra Touring, which is reviewed separately.

Since then, though, the Hyundai Elantra has dramatically improved, offering better reliability, agreeable performance and a long list of standard features. Current Hyundai Elantra
The Hyundai Elantra is a small sedan, although there is a related four-door hatchback known as the Elantra Touring. The sedan is available in Blue, GLS and SE trim levels. If you're purchasing your Elantra in California or a state with California emissions standards, you'll get a car that's SULEV/PZEV-certified, with a 132-hp rating.

In editorial reviews, the Hyundai Elantra scored points for its brisk acceleration and stable ride quality. Used Hyundai Elantra Models

The current Hyundai Elantra is representative of the car's fourth generation which made its debut for model-year 2007. This latest Elantra has maintained all the strengths of the previous-generation model, including a low price, capable performance and a spacious cabin. Three trims were initially available: GLS, SE and Limited. An Elantra hatchback, the Hyundai Elantra GT, was also offered starting in '02 and came with additional standard features, including leather seats and a CD player. The Hyundai Elantra engine was upgraded yet again in model year 1999, to a larger 2.0-liter. Overall, the second-gen Elantra represented a decent buy in the economy car segment. The first-generation Elantra was produced from model years 1992-'95; during this period, Hyundai's hauler was available as a sedan only. Sadly, the car's build quality and reliability reflected its bargain-basement price.

SEMA 2010-Toyota introduced a Prius at SEMA show

SEMA 2010
Toyota introduced a Prius at the Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association (SEMA) show this week the previews an upcoming sport model. With the Prius Plus Performance Package, the Prius is enhanced cosmetically, with the promise to retain its stellar fuel economy.

New 17-inch wheels are wrapped in low-profile 215/45R17 tires.
Finishing touches include obligatory "Plus" badging and logo-emblazoned floor mats.

Toyota will be offering the Plus Performance Package in limited quantities beginning in April of next year. The 2010 SEMA Show will mark the debut of the all-new Toyota Prius PLUS Performance Package, a new hybrid performance line by Toyota Racing Development (TRD). Developed to meet the evolving demands of the growing hybrid segment, PLUS enhances the driving experience for Toyota hybrid enthusiasts by offering cool and fun accessories that add sporty looks with performance handling. The Prius PLUS Performance Package starts with a seven-piece aerodynamic body kit including a uniquely styled rear diffuser, which enhances its already sleek appearance and maintains its 0.25 coefficient of drag.

The PLUS package delivers surprising traction and handling without sacrificing any fuel efficiency. The package also includes exclusive floormats with a "PLUS" logo and a unique "PLUS" exterior badge.
What kind of mileage would the Toyota Prius plug-in hybrid get on a road trip, say, from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and back? To find out, I drove to Vegas.

OK, so I drove to Vegas for the "SEMA show". While the Mojave is home to nine solar power plants now, with more on the way, Interstate 15 as far as I know has exactly zero EV charging stations between my Los Angeles home and the vapid, bottomless, energy-inefficient glitz of Las Vegas.

So by the time I filled up the gas tank and headed east, the Prius was running on gasoline alone (and whatever small squirts of regenerative braking pumped up its primary battery pack). It was, effectively, just a regular 2010 Prius.

Initiating passing maneuvers on the highway results in wildly flailing engine revs and, eventually, some forward motion. Whatever power comes from the four-banger and its accompanying batteries (spec sheet says it's 134 hp) is eaten up by the CVT. Remember also that this is a design tuned for efficiency, from its low-rolling-resistance tires to its efficiently aerodynamic shape.

So maybe that's why I got mileage poorer than the car's claimed 50-mpg rating. For the 597.2 miles up, back and around Las Vegas, I got just less than 40 mpg.

Hybrids are not meant for long-haul trucking, of course. In the city, the Prius plug-in has hit right about 50 mpg so far on gasoline and 62 mpg combined with battery power. If I plug in my plug-in Prius every 12.5 miles, I will never need gasoline. If I drive it to Vegas, I need gasoline the whole way. An evil Santa. An evil, mad-scientist Santa!

Even through the fog of the syrupy and chemically unstable Red Bull, I remember thinking, "They probably shouldn't be parading this guy before the press."

Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8

Special ground effects limit the SRT8 model to paved roads. Base price on the Grand Cherokee SRT8 is $43,325, not including a $780 destination charge.

At the heart of the "Grand Cherokee SRT8" is a 420-horsepower hemi engine. Since the Grand Cherokee is engineered strictly for on-road use, the four-wheel drive system utilizes a single-speed transfer case. Four-wheel drive enhances vehicle performance on slippery roads by automatically sending engine power to the wheels with the best traction. The twenty-inch wheels and low-profile tires give the Grand Cherokee an exceptionally large, stable footprint.

The suspension is surprisingly refined, considering that the Grand Cherokee’s live rear axle. The Grand Cherokee SRT8 maintains positive on-center response at speed, while providing plenty of low-speed assist for maneuvering around parking lots. The "Grand Cherokee" can hold up to five passengers, though legroom in the second-row center position is limited due to the center console. The SRT team installed heavily bolstered seats up front to keep the driver and passenger in place. Two-position seat memory makes it easier for multiple drivers to share the car. The driver can access performance pages using steering wheel controls. Without the upgrade, the cargo area functions well for active lifestyles. The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 comes standard with front, side and side curtain airbags, traction and electronic stability control. Chrysler builds the Jeep Grand Cherokee at its Detroit, Michigan assembly plant.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 is bicycle friendly and can tow up to 3500 pounds, meeting our ALV minimum standards.
Jeeps are great for climbing rocks, crawling along trails, or blasting across sandy beaches, but they've never been road burners. Until, that is, the mad scientists at DaimlerChrysler's Street and Racing Technology (SRT) got ahold of the latest Grand Cherokee and transmogrified it into the Grand Cherokee SRT-8. The essential element in the GC SRT-8 is the same 6.1L Hemi that's in the SRT-8 versions of the Magnum, Charger, and 300. While the 6.1 is rated at 425 hp in those other SRT-8s, in the Jeep that's choked down to 420 hp due to more restrictive intake and exhaust systems. The Grand Cherokee is one of the boxiest boxes on wheels, but this is one bad-ass-looking box. Prices for the Grand Cherokee SRT-8 start at $39,995. Highlights include a variable-geometry turbocharger, dual overhead cams actuating four-valves per cylinder, and a light-for-a-diesel weight of 459 pounds. A diesel particulate filter makes the emissions extra clean, but not clean enough for the North American market.

Dodge Magnum

The Dodge Magnum welcomed us to the American station wagon, Version 2.0. The "Dodge Magnum" was intended to prove that the wagon could be cool again.
Sadly, Wagon Version 2.0 lived a short life.

Most Recent Dodge Magnum
The Dodge Magnum was sold from 2005-'08. When last sighted at Dodge dealerships, the Magnum was available in four trim levels -- SE, SXT, R/T and SRT8 -- which provided increasing levels of standard equipment and performance features. For power, the Magnum SE was equipped with a 200-horsepower V6.

Most Magnums were rear-wheel drive, but Dodge offered all-wheel-drive (AWD) versions of the SXT and RT. In reviews of the Dodge Magnum, our editors praised the vehicle's roomy and comfortable interior, useful cargo area and inspiring performance. When the Magnum debuted for the 2005 model year, the RWD SXT model had a four-speed automatic transmission, but it was upgraded to a five-speed unit later in 2006 (AWD SXTs always had a five-speed).

Ford Focus is a Family Cars

The Ford Focus is a family of small cars, offered in a wide range of body styles including a four-door sedan, wagon, coupe, and three- and five-door hatchbacks.

Learn about all ford focus series and ford focus models and share ideas with other ford focus owners tons of ford focus pictures,

Top alternatives to the Focus include the Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Volkswagen Golf/Jetta, Hyundai Elantra, and Mazda's Protégé and Mazda3.

The Focus was originally introduced for 2000, replacing the Ford Escort (and also the Ford Contour sedan, which was then discontinued).

Some models were offered with a 2.3-liter engine.

A 2005 model-year refresh simplified the lineup in many ways and brought crisper front-end styling; the engine lineup changed to 136-hp (2.0-liter) and 151-hp (2.3-liter) versions of Ford's more modern Duratec engine

For 2008 the Focus lineup was refreshed more thoroughly, with an extensively redone interior, more refinement, and expanded safety features.

Ford offered electronic stability control early on for the Focus, but then discontinued it in 2004.

The only serious performance model in the Focus' history has been the SVT Focus. Worshipped by pocket-rocket fans, the SVT Focus offered a higher-output, 170-horsepower four, stronger Getrag six-speed gearbox, plus better brakes, a more vocal exhaust, and a greatly enhanced, stiffer suspension that altogether made the Focus a blast to drive.

Audi TT Wing

audi tt wing

audi tt wing door mirrors with integral side repeaters

The sharper the angle of the wing relative to the rear of the car, the more down force will be applied to the rear wheels, and the more drag the wing will create.

Performance cars like the Audi TT will see some driving benefit from a properly tuned spoiler and wing setup, but your Audi will look a lot cooler, and that's what matters, right? In fact, since your Audi TT is either front wheel drive or all wheel drive, adding a strong Audi TT Wing could even be negative. Adding a steep wing to a front wheel drive car will increase under steer (front wheels losing traction in a turn), so you probably want an aesthetic Audi TT Wing or an Audi TT Spoiler

If you are looking for a cheap and easy method to getting your "Audi TT wing", check out this spoiler. The OE style flush mount Audi TT spoiler comes with a three year warranty against defects and is ready to paint and install. Grab some automotive paint to go with it and you'll be in business.

2010 nissan versa

The 2010 Nissan Versa ranks 13 out of 31 Affordable Small Cars. With a base MSRP of around $10,000, the 2010 Nissan Versa is a serious contender for the position of least expensive affordable small car on the market. While the Versa is praised for its soft-touch interior materials, roomy back seat and versatile cargo space, the base model has fewer standard features than almost any other car in its class. Moreover, safety features like anti-lock brakes -- which are standard on most models now -- are optional upgrades on the base Versa. It's a reviewer favorite for its long list of standard features, versatile cargo space and zippy ride. It has a low starting price of only $12,355 and a list of standard safety features that trumps almost every other car in the class.
The Versa comes as a sedan or hatchback.

The 1.8SL hatchback offers an optional Xtronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) rather than the four-speed auto. Safety comes from six standard airbags, active head restraints, tire pressure monitoring, anti-lock brakes (optional on 1.6, standard on 1.8S and SL) and electronic stability control (optional on 1.8S, standard on 1.8SL).

2010 Chevrolet Camaro rocks. Impressively

the chevrolet camaro convertible concept chevrolet has introduced a covertible version of the camaro concept car

The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro rocks. Impressively, the new Chevy Camaro is an excellent performance-car value whether it's equipped with the base direct-injected V6 or the optional V8. The Camaro handles smartly, too, with even the base car surpassing the rarefied 68 mph mark on our slalom course.

hevrolet get the latest reviews of the 2010 chevrolet camaro find buying advice, pictures, expert ratings, safety features, specs and price quotes

The base direct-injected 3.6-liter V6 is the same sophisticated engine that's an extra-cost option on the Cadillac CTS luxury sedan, while the 6.2-liter V8 in the manual-transmission Camaro SS is essentially borrowed from the base Corvette (automatic SS models get a slightly less powerful V8 variant). In the final analysis, the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro is a car that's no-excuses good. The wait is over; the Camaro is here. For Pricing information, see our Pricing page.

The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro performance coupe is available in five trim levels: base LS, 1LT, 2LT, 1SS and 2SS. Standard equipment for the base LS includes 18-inch black "Heritage" steel wheels, keyless entry, cloth upholstery, front bucket seats with power-reclining seatbacks, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, air-conditioning, cruise control and a CD/MP3 audio system with satellite radio and an auxiliary audio jack. The 2LT adds 19-inch alloy wheels, heated side mirrors, auto-dimming functionality for the driver-side and interior mirrors, additional auxiliary gauges, remote engine start (automatic transmission only), leather upholstery, heated power front seats and a Boston Acoustics sound system with steering-wheel-mounted controls, a USB audio interface and Bluetooth.

Upgrades include SS-specific exterior and interior styling cues, 20-inch aluminum wheels and Brembo brakes. The 2SS unites the 1SS's sporty styling touches and performance hardware with the 2LT's full list of standard equipment.

The rear-wheel-drive 2010 Chevy Camaro is powered by either a 3.6-liter direct-injected V6 (LS, 1LT, 2LT) or a 6.2-liter V8 (1SS, 2SS). Camaro V8s with the automatic have slightly less power (400 hp, 410 lb-ft) but come with a cylinder-deactivation feature for enhanced fuel economy.

EPA fuel economy estimates are an impressive 17 mpg city and 29 highway for the V6 (18 mpg city with the automatic), and 16 mpg city and 24 highway with the V8 (25 mpg highway with the automatic).

Standard safety features include antilock disc brakes, stability control, front-seat side airbags and full-length side curtain airbags. Muscle cars have traditionally had bland

interiors (a trend that continues with the Camaro's Ford and Dodge competition), but the Camaro laudably mixes retro touches like square gauge hoods and the available four-pack of auxiliary gauges with common-sense modern ergonomics. For more Interior Features information, see our Specifications page.

The 2010 Chevy Camaro is the no-brainer choice among muscle cars for those who enjoy spirited driving, thanks to its unbeatable combination of big power, ample grip and refined suspension tuning.

2010 Hyundai Accent review

The 2010 Hyundai Accent Small Cars. The" 2010 Hyundai Accent is a good choice for those looking for an inexpensive new car".

Only the Nissan Versa can compete on price. Unfortunately, the Accent’s biggest plus is also the key to its biggest weakness. The Accent’s low price means serious trade-offs on the base model. More importantly, safety features are decidedly lacking in the Hyundai Accent. Finally, the Toyota Yaris costs about $2,000 more than the Accent but has more standard safety features than most of the cars in its class, receives top scores in government crash testing and offers versatile cargo space.

Other Accent advantages include a nicely furnished cabin, a long standard equipment list and adequate acceleration and handling. Current Hyundai Accent

The Hyundai Accent is a five-passenger compact offered in four trim levels: Blue, GS, SE and GLS. All Accents are powered by a 110-horsepower, 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. Transmission choices are either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic.
In terms of feature content, the "Hyundai Accent" delivers on all the essentials.

Used Hyundai Accent Models
The current-generation Hyundai Accent dates back to 2006, when it was introduced in sedan body style only -- the two-door hatchback arrived a year later. Most importantly, antilock brakes became available on the Accent GS. Used car shoppers should pay special attention to whether or not an Accent has ABS, as the car's braking distance grows excessively long without it.

The second-generation Accent was sold in sedan and hatchback form from 2000-'05. Initially, this Accent was offered only with an 89-hp, 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine (horsepower varied slightly over the years). A 104-hp, 1.6-liter engine joined the lineup in 2001 and replaced the 1.5-liter altogether in 2003. Handling and braking capabilities were modest on second-gen Accents, mainly because of the car's undersized 13-inch wheels and tires. Unfortunately, antilock brakes were optional only on 2005 Accents. Sold from 1995-'99, the first-generation Hyundai Accent was also available as both a compact sedan and a three-door hatchback; it replaced Hyundai's shoddily built Excel subcompact (1986-'94).

2010 Dodge Nitro Review

The 2010 Dodge Nitro Affordable Compact SUVs. The Dodge Nitro stands out for its aggressive styling, class-leading 5,000-pound towing capacity and functional cargo space but it ultimately can't match the performance or interior quality of its competitors.

The Nitro's price is about average for the class.
The Dodge Nitro comes in two trims -- the base SXT and the SLT. There's speculation that Dodge may discontinue the Nitro after the 2010 model.

"The...Dodge Nitro R/T 4X4 shovels a good cabin tech package into a vehicle that delivers mediocre performance and economy." -- Automobile Magazine

In the past, test drivers have complained about the Dodge Nitro's rough ride and handling. A huge plus is the Nitro's 5,000-pound towing capacity, which bests every one of its competitors.

When it comes to quality, the "Dodge Nitro's interior" is viewed by most as just adequate.

Almost all of the safety features on the Dodge Nitro come as standard equipment. The 2010 Nitro does well in most federal government crash tests, but falls short in insurance industry testing.

The Detonator and Shock trim features a more powerful 260-hp 4.0-liter V6 engine mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. Nitro's Heat trim offers standard amenities such as power mirrors, windows and door locks with remote keyless entry, satellite radio, air conditioning and seating for five. The Shock adds heated front seat, leather trim interior, and power sunroof. Standard safety features include: front airbags, side curtain airbags, active head restraints, traction and stability control with roll-over mitigation, brake assist, and a tire-pressure monitor.

2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser

The 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser is a midsize SUV technically with four doors. The front doors are standard-sized, but the rear doors are smaller and are reverse opening. Options include a Convenience package that offers keyless entry, power side mirrors, cruise control, rear privacy glass, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and a rearview camera. The All Terrain package includes special 16-inch alloy wheels, all-terrain tires, performance shock absorbers and a locking rear differential.
FJs with manual transmissions are only available with a full-time 4WD system; models with automatic transmissions come with either two-wheel drive or a part-time 4WD system.

Standard safety features include stability control, traction control, antilock disc brakes, front-seat side airbags and rollover-sensing side curtain airbags. In government crash tests, the Toyota FJ Cruiser earned a top five-star rating for driver safety in head-on collisions, while front passenger protection rated four stars. In side-impact testing, front and rear passenger protection received five stars. For more Safety information, Front visibility is also less than optimal, thanks to the FJ's high hood line. For more Interior Features information,

The 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser is in its element off-road. The FJ's boxy lines result in noticeable wind noise on the highway, though. Notably, the FJ no longer requires premium fuel either.

The 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser Affordable Midsize SUVs. The eye-catching Toyota FJ Cruiser continues to impress reviewers with its unique, retro-inspired styling and solid off-road performance. The FJ's overall value makes it our 2010 Best Off-Road SUV for the Money.

While these changes will improve performance, they won't remedy the Toyota FJ Cruiser's other weak points -- a cramped rear seat, poor visibility and substandard cabin materials. "FJ pays a price for its exaggerated styling and off-road-biased engineering," writes Consumer Guide.

If you're interested in an FJ Cruiser, the improved fuel economy may make the new 2010 model worth your while. Be sure to check for current Toyota deals that may be available on a new Toyota FJ Cruiser.

2011 Mitsubishi Lancer Reviews

2011 Mitsubishi Lancer Reviews
The original Mitsubishi Lancer never exactly blew us away.
Current Mitsubishi Lancer

Mitsubishi's stylish compact sedan is offered in DE, ES, GTS and Ralliart trims. Should that not be enough, there is the Ralliart, which offers a turbocharged engine and all-wheel drive. A five-speed manual transmission is standard on all but the Ralliart, while Mitsubishi's first continuously variable transmission (CVT) is optional (except on Ralliart). In reviews of the Mitsubishi Lancer, we've been impressed with its improved handling, sporty styling and high-tech optional features. Used Mitsubishi Lancer models
The current Lancer dates back to the 2008 model year. The first "Mitsubishi Lancer" was launched for the 2002 model year as a replacement for the Mirage sedan. The O-Z Rally trim offered a sportier look thanks to 15-inch O-Z alloy wheels and special interior trim upgrades. All trims came with the 120-hp 2.0-liter engine and a five-speed manual. Running changes included the 2004 debut of the Lancer Ralliart trim level, which boasted a 162-hp 2.4-liter engine, ABS, alloy wheels, sport exhaust and a sport-tuned suspension. Ralliart sedans came standard with a five-speed manual transmission. That year, Mitsubishi also introduced the Lancer Sportback wagon, available in LS or Ralliart trim. The 162-hp engine powered both wagon trim levels, but the Sportback was only available with a four-speed automatic. Mitsubishi discontinued the Lancer LS and both Sportback models in 2005. In 2006, the Lancer SE, featuring a sunroof, six audio speakers, cruise control and remote keyless entry, was introduced to freshen up the lineup.

In road tests, our editors found this Mitsubishi Lancer comfortable, though not especially fun to drive. The sport-tuned Lancer Ralliart, with its more powerful engine and tighter suspension, offers higher performance at an affordable price, making it the best choice of this Lancer generation.

Previous to the Lancer, Mitsubishi's small-car offering was the Mirage
The 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer ranks 14 out of 32 Affordable Small Cars. The 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer is one of the sportiest options among Affordable Small Cars. Reviewers find its front seats comfortable and handling adequate for highway driving and city cruising. The press also complains about the Lancer’s lethargic performance. If you can’t afford the Evolution, the Lancer Ralliart, the Lancer’s upmost trim, costs about $6,000 less than the Evolution.

Other Cars to Consider
Although the 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer is available, you can still get a 2010 model. The Mazda3 has more standard features and better high tech options than the Lancer, and it’s only about $500 more. The Volkswagen Golf’s plain exterior doesn’t match the Mitsubishi Lancer’s aggressive attitude, but it still tops the Lancer in the Affordable Small Car rankings because of its nice interior, powerful engines, peppy attitude on the road and optional diesel engine. Details: 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer:

The 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer is available in four trims: DE, ES, GTS and Ralliart. The base DE trim starts at $14,995. Meanwhile, the Ralliart, which has more horsepower and all-wheel drive, begins at $27,495. The Lancer Sportback, a five-door hatchback, is also available and starts at $19,190. The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, a high-performance vehicle, is reviewed separately.

Alfa Romeo Giulietta Review

The first Giulietta was launched in 1954. The Alfa Romeo Giulietta has been built in celebration of this centenary and has echoes of the original sporty coupe mixed in amongst ultra modern technology. Alfa Romeo tells us that the new car has been designed to compete with the best in the C-segment and it has the credentials to prove it, with a good dollop of Alfa styling.
The Alfa Romeo Giulietta sits on a brand new 'Compact Platform', which will also provide the basis of some new and surprising additions to the Alfa stable in the next couple of years.

It has the general appearance of an overgrown Alfa Romeo 147, which is no bad thing. The front end bears the new 'floating' triangular Alfa grille and emblem with the number plate set to one side. The lower part of the grille divides the beefy air-intakes and the fog light housings, a sign of its sporty intentions, while the sharp bonnet creases and muscular wheelarches make the Alfa Romeo Giulietta look wide and low.

the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta goes on sale in the UK from Saturday 24 July. In the UK Alfa Romeo see a 50-50 split for sales between retail and business buyers.

Alfa Romeo Giulietta prices start at £16,995 and rise up to £24,495 and its targeted sales competitor is the Volkswagen Golf range. Every customer can adapt the new car to their specific driving requirements thanks to Alfa Romeo’s D.N.A. selector.

The new 1.4-litre TB MultiAir 170bhp offers the lowest emissions and fuel consumption in its class for petrol engines of this power rating.

The most powerful engine in the range is Alfa Romeo’s new 1750 TBi petrol unit, which offers the performance of a three-litre but has the fuel consumption of a 1.6 litre four cylinder, employing revolutionary technology to ensure strong acceleration at low engine speeds with minimal turbo lag.

But the "Alfa Romeo Giulietta" isn’t just about being fun to drive. Each model, from the entry-level Turismo specification to the range-topping Cloverleaf, has a very high level of standard equipment. The new Alfa Romeo Giulietta was recently awarded a Euro NCAP five-star crash safety rating and an overall score of 87/100: an impressive result that makes it the safest compact car built to date says Alfa.
With a wide range of engines and four levels of specification Alfa Romeo expect 75 per cent of UK sales to go to the mid range Lusso and the sporty Veloce models with the starter specification Turismo taking 15 per cent of sales and the top of the range high performance Cloverleaf version taking 10 per cent.

With a 50-50 split of sales between retail and business/fleet customers, retail buyers are expected to make the new 1.4-litre TB MultiAir 170bhp, direct injection turbocharged petrol unit their favourite and higher mileage business and fleet users will go for the 2.0-litre JTDM-2, 170bhp turbodiesel unit.

The petrol engine returned a real-life 34.6mpg and the 2.0-litre turbodiesel returned 42.7mpg.
I thought the 2.0-litre diesel model with different suspension settings to cope with the extra engine weight offered a more refined and comfortable ride

Peugeot 408 Reviews

Earlier this year, Peugeot launched and introduced the new Peugeot 408 sedan to the Chinese market. Now it looks like the French manufacturer is also keen on bringing their compact sedan to another market, South America.

Peugeot also announced that the "Peugeot 408", the long wheelbase version of the 308, is currently being produced at the company’s PSA Peugeot Citroen Palomar production plant in Buenos Aires, Argentina and will eventually be sold in 27 countries, including Argentina and Brazil.

The 0 denotes the Peugeot 408 as a Peugeot, while the 8 signifies the sedan’s generation.

The Peugeot 408 is offered with a choice of 1.6 Liter 16 V four cylinder making 110 HP or a 2.0 Liter 16 V cranking out 147 HP.
The new Peugeot 408 is a mid-size sedan created by the French car manufacturer Peugeot especially for the Chinese market. The car was designed in France and although intended for the Chinese market, Peugeot plans on selling the car in other countries as well around the world as well.

Peugeot is launching a new "sedan Peugeot 408" in China. This model is designed special for growth market countries and produced by the joint venture companies in China namely Peugeot Dongfeng.

Peugeot 408 using low-cost platform with MacPherson front suspension (front) and torsion-beam (rear). Be extended 2710mm wheelbase, or a 100mm longer than the Peugeot 308 hatchback. With the addition of the rear trunk, total length of 4680mm or 400mm so longer than 308.

1.6-liter engine can produce maximum power of 110hp and 2.0-liter engine can be 147hp. Engine with VVT technology has been removed from Peugeot models in circulation there.

The Chinese and South American version of the Peugeot 408 , built on an extended 308 platform and developed by Peugeot and China's DFM, is expected to increase Peugeot's Chinese sales - 410,000 in 2009 - by 30 percent.

“Whilst the car has not been officially confirmed for right-hand drive production at this stage, we are quietly confident that it will be in Australia in the not-too-distant future,” General Manager of Peugeot Australia Ken Thomas said.

“The car has an extended wheelbase allowing for more interior space and the sedan shape obviously allows for more boot space.”

In China, the Peugeot 408 will be powered by a version of the 1.6 litre engine developed by PSA Peugeot Citroen and BMW, along with a 2.0 litre petrol unit, producing 79kW and 110kW respectively.

The 508 marks the return of Peugeot’s “five-0″ designated models, last seen on the 505 from 1979 to around 1992.

The Chrysler Pacifica Carries

The Chrysler Pacifica carries many of the features now expected in crossover vehicles, but doesn't deliver the engine power or value of class leaders and ranks in the bottom half of both the affordable midsize and crossover SUV classes.
While the "Chrysler Pacifica" is a viable minivan alternative, our analysis shows that its engine power and third-row seating fall short of expectations.
The Chrysler Pacifica was one of the original large crossover wagons. In order to combine the driving attributes of a car with the utility offered by minivans and sport-utility vehicles, the Pacifica crossover had four front-hinged doors, an elevated seating position, five- or six-passenger seating and a choice of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
Compared to other crossover wagons, the Chrysler Pacifica was relatively upscale and offered a wide array of creature comforts wrapped in elegantly chiseled sheet metal. Most Recent Chrysler Pacifica
The Chrysler Pacifica debuted for the 2004 model year, at which point it was offered only in base and Limited trim levels. A 3.5-liter V6 with 250 hp and 250 lb-ft became standard on all but the base front-wheel-drive model in 2005, and the 3.8-liter V6 was eliminated for 2006, leaving the 3.5-liter unit as the sole available engine. For 2007, the 3.8-liter mill returned in the base front-wheel-drive model, this time rated at 200 hp, and a 4.0-liter V6 replaced the 3.5-liter V6 in all other models. Base 2004 Pacificas featured two-row, five-passenger seating and were fairly comfortable, thanks to niceties such as dual-zone climate control, a power driver seat and a load-leveling suspension. The 2005 base model, meanwhile, lost some standard accoutrements and was priced lower going forward. The 3.8-liter engine is to be avoided, but the 3.5-liter and 4.0-liter V6s are decent performers.
