Volvo V60 Review

The Volvo V60 – the estate version of its new S60 saloon – takes its sibling’s coupe-style design and adds a dose of practicality.

Buyers also have the opportunity to add front and rear skid plates, a front decor trim, side scuff plates, special exhaust tailpipes and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Petrol options range from a powerful 304bhp 3-litre unit, which is capable of hitting 0-62mph in 6.6 seconds while returning 27.7mpg to a new 1.6-litre GTDi engine which is available in two power outputs, 150 and 180bhp
An ultra-efficient 113bhp 1.6-litre DRIVe version will join the line-up later.

Inside, the" Volvo V60" features 40/20/40-split rear seat, a fold-flat front passenger seat and has a load capacity of 430 litres with the rear seats in place.

“Our sports wagon does not aim to compete with the traditional estate car.
Volvo has released images and details on the estate version of the S60, the Volvo V60, after a pic of the car was leaked to a Swedish magazine.
"Our sports wagon does not aim to compete with the traditional estate car," he added. The car has a 40/20/40-split rear seat and a fold-flat front passenger seat, and can offer a totally flat boot floor. There will be five petrol engines, from 1.6 litres up to the 3.0-litre straight six, and three diesel options, 2.4 and 2.0 five-pots and a 1.6-litre four-cylinder unit.

On the diesel front, 2.4 and 2.0 litre variants of Volvo's inline five-cylinder engine will be available, producing 151kW/420Nm and 121kW/400Nm respectively.
Volvo has not released a full list of fuel consumption figures, although it has confirmed that the 2.4 litre diesel uses just 5.4 l/100km on the combined cycle.

2010 Audi S5 Review

The following is a performance-capsule review of the 2010 Audi S5. The 2010 Audi S5 impressed auto critics with its sporty yet comfortable nature. The "2010 Audi S5" is a performance-tuned variant of the 2010 Audi A5 -- which earns praise for its elegant exterior design and comfortable cabin, but suffers when compared to luxury sports cars because of its less-than-stellar performance abilities.

Where the A5 suffers, the 2010 Audi S5 excels. For 2010, Audi introduces an S5 Cabriolet (convertible) trim -- which replaces the S4 Cabriolet. Quattro All-Wheel Drive remains standard.

The 2010 Audi S5's repertoire expands thanks to the new soft-top S5 Cabriolet and its exclusive supercharged V6, while the classy V8 continues to power the coupe. Sensuous styling, coupe's stellar V8, sharp handling, upscale interior, available convertible body style.

Artificial steering feel, convertible is pricey and lacks a retractable hardtop and the coupe's V8.

The 2010 Audi S5 gets a cabriolet (soft-top convertible) variant that's available only with a new supercharged V6, whereas the coupe keeps the previous V8. Also, the S5 receives Audi's standardized trim level structure, and navigation-equipped S5s get the third-generation MMI system with a revised controller and real-time traffic.
The 2010 Audi S5 is a calculated addition to Audi's arsenal, a high-performance luxury coupe/convertible intended to counter BMW's growing stockpile of turbocharged sporting machines.

Shared with other performance cars in Audi's lineup, the cabriolet's force-fed V6 makes 333 horsepower and as much torque -- 325 pound-feet -- as the coupe's 4.2-liter V8.

If you're in the market for a performance coupe or convertible, you'll also likely be checking out the S5's natural rival, the BMW 335i coupe and convertibleThe high-performance 2010 Audi S5 is available as a coupe or soft-top convertible (the cabriolet) in two trim levels: Premium Plus and Prestige.

The base S5 Premium Plus comes standard with 19-inch alloy wheels, a sport-tuned suspension, xenon headlamps, foglamps, power heated exterior mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, an electronic parking brake, a multifunction leather-wrapped steering wheel, a panoramic tilt-only sunroof, tri-zone automatic climate control, power and heated front sport seats, napa leather upholstery, a 50/50-split-folding rear seatback, Bluetooth, Audi's Multi Media Interface (MMI) with dash-mounted controls and a CD audio system with satellite radio and an auxiliary input jack. Optional on the Premium Plus trim are the navigation system and Bang & Olufsen sound systemA six-speed manual transmission is standard on the coupe, and a six-speed automatic with manual shift control is optional. On the cabriolet, a seven-speed dual-clutch automated manual is the only available transmission.

In performance testing, we spurred a manual-transmission 2010 Audi S5 coupe from zero to 60 mph in a fleet 4.9 seconds.
The V6-powered cabriolet comes in at 17/26/20 mpg.
Coupes have side curtain airbags as well, while cabriolets have active roll bars behind the seats.
The optional variable-ratio steering system that comes with the Audi Drive Select package provides a similarly contrived feel.
The coupe's 4.2-liter V8 is simply one of our favorite engines.

Cadillac STS Review

The 2010 Cadillac STS defies the stereotype of a huge Caddy sedan that handles ponderously, where the back seat is the place to be. The STS offers handling that defies its huge size, athletic poise thanks to its magnetic ride control, and a bold look. The "Cadillac STS" is the driver's car.
But the Cadillac STS has suffered quality problems, with many reviewers citing questionable interior build quality.

The base Cadillac STS features a direct-injected 3.6-liter V6 rated at 302 horsepower and 272 pound-feet of torque. A full-size luxury sedan in its physical dimensions, the Cadillac STS is priced in line with other premium midsize sedans that offer V6 and V8 engines. There are five trim levels -- V6 Luxury Sport, V6 Luxury, V6 Premium, V8 Luxury and V8 Performance. The V6 Luxury adds perks such as Bluetooth, heated/ventilated front seats, heated rear seats and rain-sensing wipers. The V6 Premium highlights include 18-inch (versus 17-inch) wheels, upgraded braking/steering/cooling systems, auto-dimming xenon headlights, upgraded audio and a navigation system. In reviews and road tests, our editors have found the strengths of the Cadillac STS to be its nimble road manners, powerful engine options and high-quality audio system.

The Cadillac STS rear-wheel-drive luxury sport sedan officially debuted for the 2005 model year and offered in 255-hp V6 and 320-hp V8 versions. Prior to 2010, the current STS's trim levels were essentially option packages available on V6 and V8 trims.

The performance-oriented version of that car was known as the Cadillac STS and featured a more powerful V8 engine and more luxury features. The 1992-'97 Seville also featured a similar STS edition.

Proton -The New Proton inspira

Proton Inspira has been spied with masked tapes and it has been often refer as the re-badged Mitsubishi Lancer, or the Proton Waja replacement model. Proton has made quite a few changes and cleverly “Protonize” the Lancer to Inspira.

The Proton Inspira 2.0 Premium gets body kit which is also design by Proton. From the rear, the "Proton Inspira" 2.0P gets full body kit, as well as the rear boot lip spoiler. The car is rebadged with Proton’s Logo as well the Inspira badge. Proton has also retain the metal stripe on the boot from the Mitsubishi Lancer Ex model. Proton has given the Proton Inspira newly designed rims. The Proton Inspira is equipped with all 4 disc brakes and standard ABS (Anti-lock braking system) with EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution).

Moving forward to the Technical Specification of the Proton Inspira, the 1.8 Executive model will be fitted with Mitsubishi 4B10 1.8 MIVEC 4 Cylinder DOHC 16V Engine mated with Manual or CVT Transmission. This 1.8 engine is similar to Mitsubishi Lancer Fortis 1.8 in Taiwan. The 2.0 Premium model is fitted with Mitsubishi 4B11 2.0 MIVEC 4 Cylinder DOHC 16V Engine mated with CVT Transmission. The 2.0 engine is similar engine with the current Mitsubishi Lancer GT, GLS or EX. Based on the specifications list, the Inspira’s engine is having slightly lesser output compare to the Mitsubishi Lancer by 3HP (Inspira 1.8 – 138HP; Lancer Fortis 1.8 – 141HP) to 6HP (Inspira 2.0 – 147HP; Lancer GT 2.0 – 153HP). Apart from engine slightly detuned, it is physically identical to the Lancer’s engine.
Regrettably, the 1.8 Manual is still fitted with 5 Speed Manual Transmission.

The Proton Inspira was unveiled at Proton Edar Sdn Bhd’s (Proton Edar) showroom at Jalan Tun Jugah here yesterday. Proton offers CVT with intelligent and innovation vehicle electronic control systems in a variant of the Proton Inspira.
Among practical features users stand to gain from include auto cruise, automatic light and rain sensors, welcome and coming home light systems, fully automatic air conditioning system with climate control system for both front and rear occupants, and all-round airbags for passengers’ safety.
What do you think – does a two-door Lancer-based Proton Inspira look good?

2011 Honda Ridgeline Review

The Honda Ridgeline last received a few changes in 2009. The 2011 Honda Ridgeline will see a redesign for 2011. Expect the vehicle to be released in late 2010.

Exterior photos of the new design of the Ridgeline have been seen. The grille design is different, but the vehicle remains a four-door crew cab truck. Two-zone automatic climate control, powered seats, fog lights, leather upholstery, satellite radio, and Bluetooth should be available on upgraded trims. As part of the redesign, trim levels, and features that are included in each model, may see changes. The performance of the "2011 Honda Ridgeline" could change dramatically as a result of its redesign.

the 2011 Honda Ridgeline will retain the styling introduced from the previous year’s edition, which therefore suggests that it can also be categorized as a crossover SUV. It will feature a unibody structure. There is no nocieable change in the exterior features for 2011 Ridgeline . There are four trim levels available to choose from: base model or RT, RTS, leather-upholstered RTL, and the RTL with navigation system.

The Honda Ridgeline has phenomenal safety feature – and it emplys the curtain-side airbags. The air conditioning comes as standard option.

The 2011 Honda Ridgeline carries over unchanged from the 2010 Honda Ridgeline. The 2011 Ridgeline is usefully strong, cleverly versatile, remarkably comfortable, and wincingly ugly.

Should you buy the "2011 Honda Ridgeline" or wait for the 2012 Honda Ridgeline? Buy a 2011 Honda Ridgeline. By contrast, the 2011 Ridgeline continues with the single crew-cab body and 5-foot-long cargo bed it’s had since its model-year 2006 introduction. In reality, Ridgeline’s unibody structure integrates a very rigid boxed frame. The cargo bed is just 5-feet long – among the shortest in pickup land. Ridgeline’s lockable compartment hides a functional 8.5 cubic feet of storage space. Ridgeline’s sedan-like greenhouse and low hood line also defy old-school pickup custom. The high-hat cab pays off with full-size-pickup-caliber front-seat room and with rear-seat accommodations that go far beyond those of any compact pickup and into midsize-SUV territory.

The 2011 Ridgeline returns in four levels of trim: base RT, better-equipped RTS, leather-upholstered RTL, and top-line RTL with navigation. There’s little to differentiate them visually, though the RTS has 17-inch alloy wheels and body-color trim to the RT’s 17-inch steel wheels and dark trim. Like Pilot – but unlike any other pickup -- Ridgeline is essentially a front-wheel-drive vehicle; all other pickups are based on rear-wheel-drive designs. Ridgeline actually comes standard with an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system that normally runs in front-wheel-drive but can redirect power to the rear wheels during acceleration and low-traction conditions.

The 2011 Ridgeline’s 5,000-towing capacity compares favorably with that of any crew-cab V-6 compact pickup. The 2011 Honda Ridgeline returns with a long list of standard and optional features but, per Honda custom, it doesn’t offer individual options. The 2011 Ridgeline RTS adds to the RT alloy wheels; body-color door handles; painted inner grille surfaces; dual-zone automatic climate control; an eight-way power driver’s seat with lumbar support; deep-tint windows; and all-weather floor mats. The Ridgeline RT’s audio system is a six-speaker, 100-watt unit with a single-disc CD player. Other 2011 Ridgeline models have a seven-speaker 160-watt system with subwoofer and six-disc in-dash changer, plus steering wheel audio controls and an auxiliary input jack.

BMW Recall

The German group revealed on Friday 1, October it had found a fault in the power braking system used in its BMW 5, 6 and 7 Series, however Rolls-Royce chairman and BMW executive Ian Robertson said the firm is "resolving the situation quickly".

A BMW spokesman told the BBC that the problem was identified via feedback from routine vehicle servicing, and that the recall is entirely voluntary.

It affects 10,522 BMWs in the UK and 955 Rolls-Royces.
Owing to this recall, the stocks of BMW drop to 3 percent below the 50 euros mark. There has been no further PR statement release from BMW.

The recall affects V8 and V12-powered BMW 5 Series, 6 Series, 7 Series, and Rolls-Royce models produced between July 2001 and November 2009.

End Quote Ian Robertson chairman of Rolls-Royce
Globally, 348,000 BMWs are affected, plus a further 5,800 Rolls-Royces.

UK Garage Presents Lotus Extrema

Italian tuner UK Garage is presenting its latest project, the Lotus Exige-based Extrema. UK Garage works on such names as TVR, Noble and Radical. Plenty of work has gone into the Extrema from when it was an Exige up until its current format.

Beginning with engine, buyers are spoiled for choice as they wade through a list that comprises exclusively of GM powerplants. At the entry point is a 2.6-litre with 360hp (265kW) followed by a 2.8-litre making 450hp (331kW) or a 560hp (412kW) 3.4-litre version. All three use a PowerTech V8 engine weighing 95kg. With this engine total vehicle mass does not exceed 750kg.
Moving to the next menu is GM's 2.8-litre V6 turbo that either produces 300hp (221kW) or 350hp (257kW). With this mill fitted the car goes up to 850kg in weight which is still very light. Up the performance ladder is where things get more interesting. UK Garage offers potential customers a register comprised of Chevrolet and Corvette powerplants that will be fitted into their Extremas. Again starting from the bottom there are two Chevrolet LS3s making either 420hp (309kW) or 500hp (368kW) each. At this level weight goes up a notch to about 970kg.
Those who long for absolute Extrema grunt, the 513hp (377kW) LS7 or the LS9 found in a Corvette ZR1 with 647hp (476kW) can be selected. This time vehicle mass reaches 1,000kg. This particular combination allows the Extrema to reach 100km/h from standstill in 2.8 seconds, 0 - 200km/h in 7 seconds and top off at 320km/h. Gearshifts are taken care of courtesy of either a manual or a sequential transmission system.
The Extrema has an aluminium chassis, and buyers can have either fiberglass or a kevlar-carbon composite body fitted. The body has been lengthened by some 20cm to accommodate these big engines. It has also been widened for the bigger tyres and equipped with an adjustable suspension system.
All this comes at a price of €66,000 including taxes for the baseline model while road-legal conversions can be made at extra cost.

Volkswagen CC Overview

The 2010 Volkswagen CC ranks 10 out of 15 Upscale Midsize Cars. Available all-wheel drive sets it apart from many competitors.

Inside, the 2010 Volkswagen CC attractive two-tone color scheme and upscale materials make it a near-luxury car, but reviewers struggle with the CC's price.

The 2010 Volkswagen CC is available in four trim levels. The basic Sport edition carries a turbocharged four-cylinder engine,
Volkswagen has also upgraded the seats over the Passat's, with more bolstering and fancy cross-stitching.

The "2010 Volkswagen CC is a four-door sedan available in Sport, Luxury, VR6 Sport and VR6 4Motion trim levels. The Sport comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, foglights, cruise control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a tilt-and-telescoping steering column, power front seats, heated front seats, leatherette premium vinyl upholstery, split-folding rear seats, automatic climate control, a trip computer, Bluetooth and an eight-speaker stereo with a six-CD changer, satellite radio and an auxiliary audio jack".

The VR6 Sport trim level includes all the Luxury trim equipment plus a six-cylinder engine, 18-inch wheels, adaptive bi-xenon headlights, a power rear sunshade, steering-wheel paddles and a 10-speaker premium sound system. The top-of-the-line VR6 4Motion adds all-wheel drive.

The front-wheel-drive 2010 Volkswagen CC Sport and Luxury trims come standard with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder good for 200 horsepower and 207 pound-feet of torque. DSG is standard on the Luxury trim. Volkswagen estimates a 0-60 time of 7.4 seconds with this engine. Fuel economy estimates stand at 22 mpg city/31 mpg highway and 25 mpg combined with either transmission.

A six-speed conventional automatic with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters is the only available transmission.

All "2010 Volkswagen CCs come standard with antilock disc brakes" (with brake assist), stability and traction control, front-seat side airbags and side curtain airbags. Rear-seat side airbags are optional on all trim levels.

It received five stars for front-passenger side crash protection and four stars for rear-passenger side protection. At 13 cubic feet, the trunk is on the small side for a midsize sedan.

The 2010 Volkswagen CC also exhibits more body roll in hard cornering than true sport sedans, though the VR6 4Motion's tenacious all-wheel-drive traction notably improves matters.

Fiat 500 Commercial

Following months -- if not years -- of anticipation, Fiat is finally weeks away from reentering the U.S. market with its new 2012 Fiat 500. To help prepare consumers for the launch, its retro compact car, and expose buyers to the brand's Italian heritage, the automaker has launched a new wave of TV commercials.

While Fiat plays up the 500's Italian heritage, the car has been modified for the North American market. Although Fiat says the 500 is aimed directly at the Mini Cooper, the $15,500 base price manages to undercut the British car by $4600.

After nearly three decades away, Italian automaker Fiat is set to sell cars again in the United States, starting with the tiny 500.

The car is among a growing crowd of small vehicles entering the U.S. market, all touting small engines and high gas mileage.

Fiat took over Chrysler last year amid the American automaker's Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and in so doing got access to Chrysler's network of dealerships. Orange County is slated to have two Fiat dealerships open soon, Fiat of Irvine (Robert H. Tuttle & Jim Click), and Fiat of Costa Mesa (Jonathan Gray), Chrysler Group LLC announced last week. I got a closer look at the 2012 Fiat 500 at the LA Auto Show, and it looks like a pretty neat little car. Fiat 500 was seen as the star of the LA Auto Show 2010. "Fiat 500" is the model that brings Fiat brand on the US market after an absence of not less than 27 years.

Even though the small city car came on the North American market with softer suspensions and modified interior, the idea of a Fiat 500 is the same:more suited for ladies, combining the Italian classy style with the perfect shapes and sizes of the crowded city roads.
Fiat wants to use, hot commercial in the advertising campaign for Fiat 500 in America.
The brilliant new campaign for the Fiat 500 model is signed by DIESEL.

2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser

The 2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser ranks 7 out of 8 Affordable Compact Wagons. Slow and funny looking, the 2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser is the zombie of the automotive world. Despite falling sales and harsh reviews, the "PT Cruiser" just won't die.

Car and Driver comments, "Chrysler's 1940s-esque retro wagon remains versatile for its size but is clearly outdated.

Other Compact Wagons to Consider
It costs about $2,000 more than the PT Cruiser, but is seriously fun to drive.
Details: Chrysler PT Cruiser
The 2010 PT Cruiser Class is the only available trim for 2010. Bargain hunters looking for a deal on a Chrysler should check out our Chrysler Deals page. You might also want to consider a 2009 PT Cruiser.

When pitted against the competition, the 2010 "PT Cruiser" clings to life with only its unique styling, versatile interior and roomy accommodations as positive attributes.
The PT Cruiser's rivals are numerous and vastly more capable--The 2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser is a five-seat compact wagon that is now offered in only one trim level -- the Classic. Included are 16-inch alloy wheels, foglights, a rear spoiler, full power accessories, air-conditioning, a tilt steering wheel, a trip computer, keyless entry and a four-speaker audio system with a CD player and auxiliary audio jack. The optional Convenience Group adds a six-way power driver seat, a fold-flat front passenger seat and heated front seats.

The 2010 "Chrysler PT Cruiser" is powered by a 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine that produces 150 horsepower and 165 pound-feet of torque. The only available transmission is a four-speed automatic that drives the front wheels. Fuel economy is a middling 19 mpg city/24 mpg highway and 21 mpg in combined driving.

Antilock disc brakes, front seat side airbags and a low-speed traction control system are standard for the 2010 PT Cruiser..

Those seated in back are afforded a pleasant view thanks to the Cruiser's slightly elevated rear seats, and head- and legroom are plentiful for adult passengers.
With the previous turbocharged engine no longer available, the 2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser is left with the anemic base power plant and outdated four-speed automatic.

Recently I have rented this car. The ?steering wheel is made for a sailboat with an incredibly small turning radius. ? This car is dangerous to drive with a ?terrible side and back view, with blind spots of about 30 degree or so at each side! Also, the whole car starts shaking ?when accelerating or driving at any speed above 40 mph. Overall, very poor performance ?on every technical and mechanical parts of this

2012 Porsche Cayman at the LA Auto Show

Arguably the best road going sports coupé on sale today just got better with the launch of the R version of Porsche's Cayman at the LA Auto Show.

It gets the four-wheel drive bodyshell but only two-wheel drive running gear.

Holding center stage on its expansive display at the 2010 LA Auto Show, the 2012 Porsche Cayman R made its world debut to become the lightest, hottest and undoubtedly coolest iteration of this mid-engined two-seater. Porsche says it was created for one reason: pure driving dynamics.

In addition to brooming non-performance essentials like the air conditioning and stereo system, the Cayman R swaps steel door skins for lightweight aluminum alternatives and uses carbon-fiber-backed sport bucket seats and interior door panels from the 911 GT3 RS to ultimately yank 121 pounds from the curb weight, bringing it down to 2,849 pounds.

That 10-pony advantage over its kin makes it the most powerful current mid-engine Porsche offering. Paired with the standard six-speed manual transmission it will send the Cayman R streaking 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds, 0.2 second quicker than a Cayman S. Match it with the optional seven-speed dual-clutch PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe) transmission and Sport Chrono package, and that interval dips to just 4.4 ticks. Top speed with the former is 175 mph, while the latter can reach 174 mph.

Other Cayman R performance enhancement include as special sport suspension that drops ride height by 20mm (0.8-inch), a limited slip differential that optional on the Cayman S, the lightweight 19-inch alloy wheels used on the Boxster S and the front and rear spoilers from the Cayman Aerokit. If there is a bit of lightweight vanity in evidence, it's strictly limited to the car's black-framed halogen headlights, contrasting side mirrors and "PORSCHE" side-stripes.

Due in dealerships next February, the 2012 Porsche Cayman R will carry a pricetag of $66,300.

New mid-engine coupe takes its purist cue from Boxster Spyder ATLANTA - November 17, 2010 - Featuring 121 pounds less weight and the most horsepower available in a mid-engined Porsche, the 330-hp Cayman R has been created for one reason: pure driving dynamics.

With its highly-tuned sports suspension and vigilant attention to weight savings, the third Cayman model offers an even more precise driving experience than the "standard" Cayman S. A direct descendant of the famous 1950's 550 and 1960's 904 mid-engined, high-performance Coupes, the 2012 Porsche Cayman R is celebrating its world premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show November 17, 2010. Light and Powerful The newest member of the mid-engine family features the highly efficient 3.4-liter six-cylinder Direct Fuel Injection (DFI) boxer engine found in the Cayman S, but produces 10 more horsepower. With a six-speed manual transmission, the Cayman R sprints from a standstill to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds, two-tenths of a second faster than the Cayman S. With a DIN unladen weight of 2849 lbs. (1295 kg), Porsche engineers were able to achieve a power-to-weight ratio of 8.58 lbs. per hp (3.9 kilograms per hp) and with 8.8 lbs per hp (4 kilograms per hp) with the PDK. In addition to the removal of the A/C and stereo, the driver-focused Cayman R utilizes a sports suspension system that lowers the Cayman R by 20 mm, helping lower center of gravity. Optional on the Cayman S, the Cayman R comes with a standard limited slip differential, front and rear spoilers from the Cayman Aerokit and special lightweight 19" wheels also found on the Boxster Spyder. Lightweight aluminum door skins, carbon-fiber backed sport bucket seats

2012 Volkswagen Beetle on oprah

Volkswagen has decided to tease the 2012 Volkswagen Beetle on one of most watched daytime talk shows, The Oprah Winfrey Show. Everyone remembers the time Oprah Winfrey gave a Pontiac G6 to each audience member on her day time talk show. “During today’s Part Two of Oprah’s Ultimate Favorite Things show,” says Mother Proof, “Oprah and Santa gave everyone in the audience keys to their own 2012 Volkswagen New Beetle.”

“Volkswagen isn’t revealing what the newer New 2012 Volkswagen Beetle looks like. “Jonathan Browning, chief executive of VW North America, explained that Oprah had approached the company and said ‘the Beetle was one of her favorite things,’” the New York Times elaborates.
“Mr. Browning added that the Volkswagen Beetle would come with a TDI engine option, which would also be offered on the Volkswagen Beetle Cabriolet. Even though Oprah’s audience and the public don’t know much about the newest new Volkswagen Beetle that’ll hit the market in May of next year, audience members did luck out this time. VW is paying the bills.

Volkswagen isn’t revealing what the newer New "Volkswagen Beetle looks like". The “Oprah” audience was allowed to see only a silhouette line of the car and Ms. Winfrey’s reaction to the design (in a video clip showing her as she saw the car for the first time). Oprah selected the Volkswagen Beetle as one of the items in her annual “Favorite Things” show, the second part of which aired on Monday. Ms. Winfrey will end “The Oprah Winfrey Show” next May and start her own cable channel, OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.

Generation of Hyundai Equus, Genesis Sedan and Genesis Coupe

Hyundai Genesis Coupe
Following the successful run of the Hyundai Genesis and the Hyundai Genesis Coupe, the 2011 Equus large luxury sedan will hit dealerships later this year powered by a 4.6L Tau V8 making 385-hp and 333 lb-ft of torque.

According to Hyundai America CEO John Krafcik, Hyundai will also offer an all-wheel-drive version of the Equus in the near future. All-wheel-drive will also trickle down the platform line to the Genesis sedan and the Genesis Coupe.

Currently, Hyundai only offers all-wheel-drive on its SUVs and crossovers.
Exhibit A was the Genesis sedan, which was quickly followed by the Genesis Coupe and now the Equus luxury sedan. But the Korean automaker isn't content to rest on its rear-wheel-drive laurels.

John Krafcik, president and chief executive officer of Hyundai Motor America, has confirmed to us that the next generation of the Genesis (in both Coupe and sedan forms) and Equus will get optional all-wheel drive.

The next generation of Hyundai's Equus, Genesis Sedan and Genesis Coupe will get all-wheel drive according to CEO John Krafcik, revealed at today's Equus drive event. The move is no doubt intended to put Hyundai on equal footing with its luxury rivals like BMW, Cadillac, and Audi, all of which offer all-wheel drive versions of their most popular sedans and coupes.

BMW M6 Overview

BMW M6 Overview

A 7-speed Sequential Manual Gearbox (SMG) with steering wheel shift paddles is standard; a conventional 6-speed manual transmission is also available. Distinguishing standard features include exclusive M designed 19-inch forged alloy wheels, heated leather M sport front seats and BMW's M Drive button on the steering wheel to save and retrieve preferred driving settings.

The following is a performance-capsule review of the 2010 BMW M6.

The 2010 BMW M6 is a performance-tuned variant of the 2010 BMW 6-Series -- which earns praise for its powerful 360-horsepower engine, elegant exterior design and exquisitely finished interior cabin.

BMW, however, offers a six-speed manual transmission that more than makes up for the seven-speed's faults. The 2010 BMW M6's lack of steering feel, however, remains. The 2010 BMW M6 is available in both coupe and convertible body styles

Few super luxury sports cars have performance-tuned trims that can compete with the 2010 BMW M6's overall package. Car shoppers comparing the 2010 BMW M6 to the 2010 BMW M5 should note that the M6 costs roughly $16K more, but features much of the same performance components and figures.

Otherwise, critics love the way the "2010 BMW M6 blasts to mind-numbing speeds.
Aiding performance for the rear-wheel-drive 2010 BMW M6 is a vehicle-speed-sensitive variable-assist power steering, dubbed M Servotronic. Moreover, the 2010 BMW M6 features an independent suspension system".

New 2011 Honda Odyssey

The 2011 Honda Odyssey is fully redesigned with a fresh look inside and out. Improved fuel economy and a second-row bench that accommodates three child safety seats are also part of the 2011 Odyssey redesign.

Should you wait for the "2011 Honda Odyssey" or buy a 2010 Honda Odyssey? If you’ve got an immediate need for an eight-passenger family vehicle, consider a 2010 Odyssey.

The 2011 Honda Odyssey gets an all-new body that tries mightily to inject some spice into the minivan formula. Honda calls these people “hesitaters” and hopes the 2011 Odyssey’s sleek new look makes minivan ownership palatable to them.

Honda designers say minivans look most generic when viewed from the side. Wheelbase remains at 118.1 inches. Returning higher up the line will be the 2011 Honda Odyssey Touring, with the 2011 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite designated the new flagship model.

Honda confirms the "2011 Odyssey LX" will have two second-row bucket seats for seven-passenger capacity. All other 2011 Odyssey models will again seat up to eight, a capacity matched among minivans only by the Sienna. The outgoing Odyssey’s second-row seat accommodated up to two child seats. On the 2011 Odyssey, the second-row’s middle section can slide forward for better access to your kid from the front row.

Is it true that you should generally stay away from purchasing the 1st year of a redesigned model? It seems that the captains chairs on 2011 odyssey can no longer be placed together. Can someone verify this?

Honda is being stingy with details about its "new 2011 Odyssey minivan". Wider, Lower, Longer
Designed and engineered wholly in North America, the 2011 Odyssey is both wider and lower than the outgoing model. The track goes up 1.4 inches while overall height drops 1.6 inches. Honda calls the new Odyssey's look an example of "Lightning Bolt Design." No cleverly hiding that track in the base of the side glass for Honda.

Again, there's no word from Honda about horsepower and torque ratings. Honda has, however, let out preliminary EPA fuel mileage ratings for the 2011 Odyssey of 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.

Honda Accord Review and Price

2010 Honda Accord

The 2010 Honda Accord Affordable Midsize Cars. The Honda Accord has been one of Car and Driver's 10 Best for 23 straight years. After its 2008 redesign, the Honda Accord was named Motor Week's Best Family Sedan. Reviewers praise the 2010 Honda Accord for its roomy interior (so large that the government classifies the Accord as a large car, though most reviewers treat it as a midsize), strong reliability history and high resale value. The Accord is an outstanding choice for many buyers. But the class of affordable midsize cars is changing.

Be sure to check for current Honda Deals that may be available on a 2010 Honda Accord.

Last redesigned in 2008, the Honda Accord enters 2010 with few significant changes. You’ll need to step up to a more expensive 2010 Honda Accord trim level to get
Among popularly priced midsize cars, the Honda Accord is an unbeatable brew of smart engineering, efficient packaging, and rewarding road manners. Available as a four-door sedan and a two-door coupe, Accord is one of America’s most-popular cars, and we judge the EX sedan with the four-cylinder engine as the top all-around value in the Accord lineup.

Should you buy a 2010 Honda Accord or wait for the 2011 Honda Accord?
The only 2010 Honda Accord styling changes are newly available dress-up items designed by renowned Honda racing-accessory purveyor MUGEN. Available for the Accord sedan, they lend a sporty look to a design introduced for model-year 2008. In both wheelbase and overall body length, Accord is among the largest cars in the midsize class. Sedans come in four basic models labeled LX, LX-P, EX, and EX-L.
Coupes come in three models: LX-S, EX, and EX-L. Visual differentiation is subtle: models with the V-6 engine have dual exhaust outlets, and the LX sedan rides on 16-inch wheels with wheel covers while all other Accord sedans have alloy wheels in 16- or 17-inch diameter. Coupes have 17- or 18-inch alloys. Like every other midsize car, Accord has front-wheel drive, which puts the weight of the engine over the wheels that propel the car. LX and LX-P sedans have a 177-horsepower four-cylinder. The LX-S Coupe and all four-cylinder EX and EX-L models have a more advanced engine with 190 horsepower. EX and EX-L models are available with a 271-horsepower V-6. Four-cylinder Accords use a five-speed manual transmission or a five-speed automatic. Also for 2010, EX sedans and EX-L sedans and coupes gain new rear-seat ventilation ducts for better rear-passenger airflow. In Honda tradition, Accord offers no options packages, instead increasing the level of equipment as you ascend the model line. EX-L models are the only Accords eligible for a navigation system.

The 2010 Honda Accord prices are slightly higher than base prices for most rivals. This reflects Honda’s practice of equipping Accords with standard features for which many others charge extra. The 2010 Honda Accord LX sedan is priced at $21,765 with manual transmission and $22,525 with automatic. The 2010 Honda Accord LX-P sedan is priced at $22,765, or $23,525 with automatic transmission.

The "2010 Honda Accord" EX sedan with the four-cylinder engine is priced at $24,540, or $25,340 with automatic transmission. The 2010 Honda Accord EX sedan with the V-6 engine is priced at $27,515.

The "2010 Honda Accord EX-L sedan price is $26,740 ($27,540 with automatic) and $29,815 with the V-6. The 2010 Honda Accord Coupe prices range from $23,265-$29,590 for four-cylinder models and from $30,015-$32,015 for V-6 versions".
Honda’s engineers will argue that Accord’s five-speed automatic transmissions suit it perfectly. Dashboard and controls: Accord’s dashboard also reflects the engineer’s eye. The 2010 feature changes are welcome but leave Accord vulnerable to aggressive competitors.

Mercedes GLK Review

The GLK-Class consists of two models, the two-wheel drive 2010 Mercedes GLK-Class and the all-wheel drive GLK350 4MATIC.

Standard safety features include electronic stability control, electronic traction control, brake assist, active front head restraints, as well as front, side, and side curtain airbags.

The 2010 Mercedes GLK350 is the second-cheapest Mercedes you can buy in this country, but you'd never suspect it. The 2010 Mercedes GLK is built to such a high standard that its price premium over most similarly equipped competitors seems well worth it. Drive the 2010 Mercedes GLK back-to-back with a C-Class sedan and you're bound to get a sense of déjà vu all over again. In addition to its aforementioned ironclad feel, the GLK's steering and ride are remarkably similar to the C's. The 2010 Mercedes GLK and the C350 share the same 268-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine, which in the GLK is the only power choice (a Bluetec diesel option should be available in future model years), while the seven-speed automatic is the lone transmission.

Mercedes' interior quality took a nosedive for a few years, but the GLK's quality construction proves that the three-pointed star represents a world standard once again. The GLK does have a couple downsides, however

The "2010 Mercedes GLK-Class luxury crossover SUV is available in one trim level known as the Mercedes-Benz GLK350". When equipped with all-wheel drive, it is the GLK350 4Matic.

Standard equipment includes 19-inch wheels, cruise control, automatic headlamps, eight-way power front seats, MB Tex premium vinyl upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power tilt and telescoping steering column, Bluetooth and an eight-speaker stereo with a CD player and an auxiliary audio jack. Other options include front and rear parking sensors, xenon headlights, leather upholstery, heated front seats, running boards, an iPod interface and a rear-seat entertainment system with dual front-headrest-mounted displays.

The 2010 Mercedes GLK350 is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 good for 268 hp and 258 pound-feet of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive (known as 4Matic) is optional. In performance testing, a GLK350 4Matic went from zero to 60 mph in 7.2 seconds. Estimated fuel economy is 16 mpg city/21 mpg highway and 18 mpg combined with 4Matic. Sticking with rear-wheel drive nets 1 mpg better on the highway.

Safety
The GLK comes standard with stability control, antilock disc brakes with brake assist, front-seat side airbags and side curtain airbags.

Interior Design and Special Features
Some cabin controls are overly complicated, and the climate controls are mounted a little low, but the overall combination of physical dash buttons, steering wheel controls and the optional multifunction COMAND knob are reasonably effective at corralling the GLK's 2010 Mercedes GLK various functions

BMW X7 - BMW Reconsider Building X7 SUV

While BMW is marketing itself as a sustainable automaker, pushing its “efficient dynamics” technologies, behind the scenes the accountants and execs still know that big gas guzzling SUVs are a quick way to make a fast buck. It’s for this reason that the German automaker is reportedly looking to introduce a larger X7 SUV.

According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, BMW is now “reconsidering its decision to cancel a new large SUV, which was meant mainly for U.S. buyers.”

Various sources are reporting today the initial BMW X7 info as the German company has announced its plans of building a larger SUV, larger than the X5 that is. Previous plans of building the "BMW X7 "were shut down due to the financial crisis of the last two years. Apparently, BMW is doing better now and it looks to re-open the BMW X7 project. Well the Chinese are known for having a soft spot for large cars, so it's natural BMW is considering an even larger (than the X5) X7 SUV.

BMW seems to have its mind set on cornering the SUV market, with its rumored plans for a bigger X7 designed to become a player on the US market.

The company is counting on a speedy economic recovery in North America, thus opening up new market opportunities for a big BMW SUV to take on the Chevy Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Escalade and other kings of the road.

China’s strong demand for luxury goods makes it BMW’s most profitable market for large sedans, Bernstein Research estimating that 50% of BMW’s operating profits come from China. BMW themselves admit profits in China are in the low two-digit range

2011 Nissan Armada Review
Did you used to have an Nissan Armada you loved or an Nissan Armada you hated?

The "2011 Nissan Armada" ranks 8 out of 9 Affordable Large SUVs. The 2011 Nissan Armada offers rugged construction and a strong engine, but a lackluster interior means that it doesn’t standout in the class.

On paper, the "Nissan Armada" seems like a good choice for an Affordable Large SUV. Check. Check. Check. Available luxury features? Check. So, given what it looks like on paper, why don’t car reviewers like the Nissan Armada?

It comes down to comparing the Armada to the competition. Most reviewers agree that the Armada is a good SUV – it’s just that the competition is better.

For 2011, Nissan has updated the available trims on the Armada. The former SE trim is now the SV, and the Armada SL replaces the Armada Titanium.

The Armada SV replaces the previous Armada SE, and the Armada SL replaces the previous Titanium model. The third well-equipped model in the lineup is the Armada Platinum. The Armada SL adds an array of comfort and convenience features, including Nissan Intelligent Key™, leather-appointed seating, RearView Monitor, Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System, premium Bose® audio system with 11 speakers and subwoofer, power-folding 60/40-split 3rd row seat and auto-leveling rear air suspension. The Armada Platinum model includes heated front seats and steering wheel, power rear liftgate, moonroof, DVD Family Entertainment System and Nissan Navigation system with XM NavTraffic system with Real-Time Traffic Information (XM--subscription required, sold separately) and 9.3GB Music Box®Hard Drive.

Audi TT Review

the Audi TT handsomely executed interior left no discernible traces of the car's rather humble VW Golf roots.

Named after the Tourist Trophy motorsports event held on the Isle of Man (in which a predecessor of the Audi brand competed), the "Audi TT" is not quite a sports car, not quite a sport coupe or roadster. The Audi TT has the low-slung look and feel of a sports car, but its dynamic personality is closer to that of a luxury sport coupe.

The greater majority of consumers, however, who desire a sporty coupe or roadster with energetic performance and a heavy accent on style, should be more than happy with the Audi TT.

The Audi TT is available as a 2+2 hatchback coupe or a two-seat roadster convertible. Quattro all-wheel drive and a six-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission (S tronic) are standard.
Standard features include leather/faux suede upholstery, Bluetooth and satellite radio, while items like heated 10-way power seats, a navigation system, a Bose stereo and nifty baseball glove-style leather stitching are options. Past Audi TT Models

The current Audi TT was redesigned for the 2008 model year and represents the second generation. It also offers a more powerful four-cylinder engine.
Prior to 2010, the Audi TT could be equipped with different powertrain options, specified as the TT 2.0T (the same as the current model) and TT 3.2. The TT 3.2 featured a 250-hp V6. Quattro was always standard on the TT 3.2, but was optional on the otherwise front-wheel-drive TT 2.0T for 2009 and not available at all for 2008. Introduced for the 2000 model year and initially available solely as a hatchback coupe, the first TT was powered by Audi's peppy 1.8-liter, 180-hp turbocharged inline-4. Buyers could choose either front- or all-wheel drive (Audi's Quattro system). A five-speed manual was standard, while a six-speed manual was optional. The Audi TT stood pat through 2006, the last year of this generation.

The 2010 Audi TT ranks 9 out of 9 Luxury Sports Cars. The 2010 Audi TT is attractive, luxurious and sporty. "For those interested in a little sport coupe or convertible that offers luxury, style and all-weather traction, the 2010 Audi TT won't disappoint," writes Edmunds. Compared to other luxury sports cars, the 2010 Audi TT is no back-road burner. In addition to its unique, attention-grabbing exterior design, the "2010 Audi TT features" a lavish interior cabin and standard all-wheel drive system.

The 2010 Audi TT convertible, on the other hand, does not.
The: 2010 Audi TT is available" in two trims, the base 2.0 and TTS. Shoppers can opt for either coupe or convertible body styles. Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive system is standard.
When Audi first introduced the TT coupe and convertible in 1999, its Art Deco-inspired style made a much deeper impression than its less impressive performance. The 2010 TT returns with familiar engine, transmission, and drivetrain choices. The 200-horsepower, 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder comes only with Audi's fantastic six-speed dual-clutch transmission, which eliminates the clutch pedal and lets twin interlocking transmissions handle blink-quick gearchanges. The high-performance, 265-hp turbo TTS comes only with the dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive.

2011 Hyundai Sonata Turbo is the Perfect

Hyundai is saying goodbye to the six-cylinder Sonata. For context, the 2010 Sonata's 3.3-liter V-6 put out 249 horsepower at 6000, 229 pound-feet at 4500, and 19/29 mpg, while the 2011 Toyota Camry's stout 3.5-liter six delivers 269 horsepower at 6200, 248 pound-feet at 4700, and 19/28 mpg. Just as notable is the 2.0T's overall weight savings compared to the aforementioned six-cylinder cars -- both the 2010 Sonata V-6 and 2011 Camry SE V-6 weigh around 3500 pounds, meaning the 2011 Sonata 2.0T tips the scales with as much as 150 fewer pounds.

Being free of that unnecessary weight helps the Sonata 2.0T produce not only its frugal fuel-econ figures (not even the 2950-pound, 2.0-liter Honda Civic Si sedan, at 21/29 mpg, can match them) but also brisk acceleration times.

The Sonata's mill utilizes the same aluminum block as the Genesis Coupe's 2.0-liter turbo, but boasts reinforced pistons and connecting rods, a new cylinder head (for the direct injection), a slightly higher compression ratio (9.5:1 vs. 9.4:1), a twin-scroll rather than single-scroll turbo, and, most notable, a compact balance shaft module that vastly improves engine NVH, especially with the pedal to the metal.

The 2011 Hyundai Sonata is a hit, no doubt. Which brings us to the Hyundai Sonata 2.0T. You'll need to understand it's a turbo, because there aren't any turbo badges on the prototypes I drove last month at Hyundai's engineering facility west of Seoul. Hyundai says it's simple: "turbo" equals "sportscar," and they're looking at all the additional power more as a six-cylinder alternative, a more mainstream offering than a sporty turbo model might otherwise be.
In the Sonata, the turbocharging is grafted on to a similar engine to the one powering the base Sonata. It's downsized from 2.4 liters to 2.0 liters, but with the injection of forced air from a twin-scroll turbocharger (which pressurizes cylinders more effectively than a singe-scroll unit) and with direct injection of gasoline into the cylinders without spark plugs, the Sonata 2.0T provides a 274-horsepower rush. By the numbers, the Sonata 2.0T sounds ideal-but what's it like to drive?

The base Hyundai Sonata is a fine automobile and we find it to be one of the best midsize sedans on the market. The new 2011 Hyundai Sonata Turbo is the perfect example of this new trend. From the exterior, there’s little difference in the styling of the Sonata 2.0T and the base versions, besides the badges. With the car’s unique design and curvaceous body, Hyundai has managed to make a large car look small. Well done, Hyundai.
You’ll never mistake this vehicle for anything else.
Mitsubishi built the manifold and it can actually take more that what the Sonata Turbo has to give. All in all, after all this testing, the new Hyundai Sonata could earn a Chronometer certification (for those watch lovers out there).
Hyundai has managed to keep the compression ratio down to allow drivers to use regular fuel. Fuel economy numbers are 23 miles per gallon city and 33 mpg highway. Yet, if mileage is what you’re after, the Sonata Turbo comes with a Active Eco button that will keep fuel consumption down, or you can just get the Sonata Hybrid that we will be reviewing later.

Hyundai has attached a six-speed automatic to the turbo engine, the same gearbox that is on the base version. It’s a shame that Hyundai won’t offer the Sonata 2.0T with a manual gearbox because it would make the car that much better.

On the road, the Sonata Turbo retains the wonderful driving dynamics of the base versions. All in all, aside from the Nissan Altima SR, the Sonata 2.0T has to be one of the best driving midsize sedans on the market.

The four-cylinder turbocharged motor provides plenty of power to keep dads happy while taking the kids to school. If you’re looking for a vehicle with plenty of room with some power under the bonnet, the "Hyundai Sonata Turbo" is just about the best bet you can have.
We found ourselves walking away from the 2011 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T with utter delight.

Renault Zoe

Lawyer David Koubbi sued Renault on behalf of all of the women in France named Renault Zoe, and in particular two girls (aged two and eight) named Zoe Renault.

Mr Koubbi contended that girls and women named "Renault Zoe" (the 11th most popular given name in France, possessed by an estimated 35,000 French citizens) could face a lifetime of taunts and teasing if Renault was allowed to use the name.

The judge threw out the case, ruling that people named renault Zoe would only have a case if they had proof the car’s name would lead to “certain, direct and current harm”.

It's non for two girls named Zoe Renault; the automaker whose name they share has the right to name its forthcoming electric vehicle the Renault Zoe. A French court dismissed a lawsuit by the parents of the two girls, supported by the French pressure group ADNP — the Association for the Defense of Our First Names — which had claimed that the choice of that model name would be harmful to the 35,000 French women and girls who are named Zoe.

A bizarre legal battle over the name Zoe has been won by Renault. The families of several girls called Zoe Renault took the firm to court in France over its plan to call its new electric car the Zoe. Renault already uses girl’s names for its Clio and Mégane models.

Nissan LEAF has won the European Car of the Year award

Now the two most prominent electric cars each rule a continent -- Chevrolet Volt in the U.S. and Nissan Leaf in Europe.

The all-electric Nissan LEAF just beat out 41 also-rans to be named 2011 European Car of the Year. The award comes in the same month that Volt won Motor Trend's and Automobile magazine's Car of the Year Award.

The "Nissan LEAF" was hailed as a breakthrough for electric cars and able to match conventional cars in many respects. A panel of journalists has named the battery-powered Nissan Leaf has been named 2011 European Car of the Year. It is the first all-electric car to be chosen for the award.

"The jury acknowledged today that the Nissan LEAF is a breakthrough for electric cars. The Nissan LEAF is also competing for 2011 North American Car of the Year honors, against a wide variety of vehicles that ranges from the extended-range electric Chevrolet volt to the Jaguar XJ luxury sedan. Nissan's battery electric Nissan LEAF has won the European Car of the Year award by a clear margin of nine points.

Nissan Navara Reviews

Nissan Navara Reviews

Nissan’s big Navara pickup has been one of those niche products with staying power.

People liked the Spanish-built Nissan Navara chunky looks and separate chassis, with a switchable two/four-wheel-drive system which gave it genuine skills off tarmac, and Nissan sold far more “Navara pick ups” than they did Pathfinder 4×4s, which were essentially the same vehicles, but with big, station wagon bodies and independent coil spring rear suspensions, rather than the pick up’s rear axle’s hefty leaf springs.

The Nissan Navara claimed combined 33.2mpg is a notable improvement on the old model’s 28.8mpg.

With stiff rear springs (intended not to sag if the load bay, with its clever range of fixing points, is filled with heavy gear), the "Nissan Navara" ride proved un-jittery when semi-loaded. For those who like even more power, Nissan is also offering a 3.0 litre V6 diesel in the Nissan Navara for the first time.

No nonsense 2x4 and 4x4 strength with modern comfortable interiors are why the latest Nissan Navara vehicle is such a success. Built for the toughest conditions, the Nissan Navara gets the work done with minimal fuss.

Standout features for this year are things like: a 3-tonne towing capacity, a lusty class leading turbo-diesel engine, advanced safety features, a balanced ergonomic dash, smooth detailing, chrome trim, alloys, power outlets and keyless remote control entry.

You’ve got it covered with the Nissan Navara. At first glance, you see a crew cab pickup truck with loads of features. The "Nissan Navara" is a tough muscular truck with loads of style.

The Nissan Navara range features plenty of power and torque. The Nissan Navara range is a strong ute that is such a loyal and robust working companion. Nissan's latest generation 4.0 litre V6 petrol engine is available on all Dual Cab models, and it's a true beauty. The 2.5 litre turbo diesel offers Nissan's latest generation common-rail technology. The diesel graces the Dual Cab and King Cab models. Naturally, being diesel, this engine returns impressive fuel economy and reliability. Switching from 2 to 4 wheel drive has never been easier in the Nissan Navara. The Nissan Navara's interior has dual zone climate control, cruise control, and comfortable and well designed seats with the option of leather.

The front seats are powered and heated, while the rear has a 60/40 split bench seat, thick rich carpeting, and an in-dash CD auto-changer with steering wheel controls, tilt steering, air conditioning, electric sunroof and fold flat passenger seat.
Your safety isn't compromised in the Nissan Navara either, with front and rear crumple zones. You will quickly realize that the Nissan Navara isn't any ordinary mundane truck.

Nissan Navara is a double cab and this feature makes it advantageous over others. It is true that, all big cars do not offer better performance especially with heavy load vehicles.
Here are a few details what Navara is capable of.

Front end is revised with a new designed grille and bumper.
Nissan Navara is available in different trim options. Navara does not lack the common features like stability control, cruise control, surround sound system, rear view camera etc. Safety features include the stability control and fully loaded air bags including the side screen air bags.

The all new V6 diesel engine is built primarily to offer economy and class performance with reduction in CO2 emission. Power developed is 170 KW with 550 Nm torque. Maximum torque is available at a low 1700 rpm and is available all the way up to 2500 rpm. One adopted technique includes the Overcooling exhaust gas which reduces Nitrogen oxides emission. 2010 Nissan Navara is definitely superior to the previous model and impresses by offering comfort and luxury to passengers. "2010 Nissan Navara" will really be a good option if you adjust with the negative features it comes along.

Nissan Leaf 99 mpg, will be introduced in some U.S. markets in December

The Nissan Leaf electric car, which has been given an official EPA fuel economy rating of 99 mpg, will be introduced in some U.S. markets in December. All cars must be given an EPA fuel economy label rating in order to be sold in the United States.

The EPA created the “mpg-equivalent” rating because the Nissan Leaf uses electricity and not gasoline for fuel. The 99 mpg rating will make Leaf the most efficient mid-sized vehicle sold. Nissan has been heavily promoting the Leaf as having a full driving range on a complete charge of about 100 miles, but the label it provides says the Leaf gets just 73 miles on a full charge.

The EPA officially rates Nissan Leaf as producing no greenhouse gas emissions, and also gives it the best possible rating for other pollutants.

It however trails behind the electric "Nissan Leaf" for which the EPA rated an estimated 99 mpg. The EPA gave the Volt a rating of 93 MPGe in all-electric mode. This comes below 99 MPGe, the rating assigned for the Nissan Leaf earlier this week. The EPA has also rated the Volt’s range at 35 miles, when it was powered by a 400-pound lithium-ion battery pack.

Depending on conditions, GM would continue to describe the Volt’s battery range between 25 miles and 50 miles. The Chevy Volt, when running on gasoline alone, will have a traditional EPA fuel economy rating of 37 miles per gallon in combined city and highway driving.

In comparison the Chevrolet Volt’s rating tops out the 2011 Toyota Prius, Pirus has an EPA rating of 51 miles per gallon in city driving and 48 in highway driving.

Electric cars have created the rent-seeker's dream. By contrast, the Leaf could make the same trip using subsidized electricity for little or no fuel cost. Consumers have long wondered what kind of fuel-economy rating an electric car would get from the Environmental Protection Agency. The EPA has approved a rating of 99 miles per gallon for the 2011 Nissan Leaf in combined city and highway driving.

But we’ll have to wait awhile to find out how the Nissan Leaf main rival, the electric-gasoline powered Chevrolet Volt, will compare. The agency derived the Leaf’s fuel-economy figure using an equivalency formula it designed to give car shoppers a standard by which to judge overall fuel efficiency and environmental impact for a wide range of vehicles using a variety of fuels and power sources.

The fuel-mileage tag will be part of the car’s window sticker, called a Monroney label.
