The New 2010 Nissan Altima Sedan

If you haven't paid attention to the Altima since Bill Clinton was president, know it's grown from a compact economy car into a powerful, confident-handling, mid-size, entry-level luxury sedan that maintains Nissan's sporty flavor and, especially for 2010, offers assertive styling.
The four-door Altima Sedan comes as the 2.5 CVT, 2.5 S and 3.5 SR CVT. Also, under the Altima umbrella is the Altima Coupe and Altima Hybrid sedan. (We'll leave the coupe and hybrid sedan for future reviews.) Here's how to decode Nissan's model nomenclature. The "2.5" indicates the car is fitted with a very strong 175-horsepower, 2.5-liter, four-cylinder. The "3.5" means it enjoys the awesome 270-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine. All Altimas are fitted with a "CVT," which stands for "continuously variable transmission." More on CVTs later. Prices start around $20,000 and go to almost $30,000 for the gas-engine cars.
If you're looking for an affordable, very roomy sedan, consider the 2.5 CVT. If you're willing to pay a bit more for Nissan's sporty feel, the 2.5 S CVT is an excellent choice. Those who like to go BMW hunting in the stoplight Grand Prix or on a curvy back road will be very entertained by the 270-horsepower 3.5 SR CVT.
Changes for 2010 feature a more assertive hood, grille and front bumper cover. Inside, the Altima received new fabrics. Electronic stability control, which Nissan calls VDC, now comes on all Altimas, but that's not too newsy as it will soon be government-required on all passenger vehicles. The 3.5 SR CVT (formerly called the SE) now comes with high-intensity discharge headlights.
Rather than physically changing gears like a conventional automatic, a CVT uses a belt and pulley system. It's designed to keep the engine at its most-efficient speed for the task required, regardless of whether that's optimum fuel mileage during highway cruising or maximum acceleration for merging into traffic. Few drivers will notice a difference between a CVT and a regular automatic, except for improved fuel economy and strong acceleration. Gear-heads: The Altima's CVT also employs a small gear set to increase its effective ratio range. Don't take this too hard, gearheads, but the CVT does a far better job of maximizing the engine's performance than you could with a manual transmission.
The four-cylinder delivers 23 miles per gallon in the government's city driving test and a very impressive 32 mpg on the highway. The V6 is rated at 20 mpg in the city and 27 on the highway. Altimas are made in Tennessee and Mississippi.

Be Green Used Saab

There is a lot of change going on in today's world. Globally, people are purchasing products from all over the world, not just things that are made in their own countries. Financially, people are more and more concerned about saving money and being smart financially. Environmentally, there is growing awareness about "being green" and purchasing environmentally friendly products. How can you as a consumer address all three concerns with one product? The easiest and best way would be to purchase a Used Saab.
Ask anyone that is remotely familiar with cars if they know what Saab is and they will tell you that it is a Swedish vehicle. Originally, the company was well known for it's airplane engines, but eventually has made quite a name for itself in the car industry. They have produced some wonderful vehicles that have become a part of popular culture all over Europe, where it is very common that you will see many people with a Used Saab.
Financially, purchasing a Used Saab would be one of the best ways to obtain a higher end vehicle without paying the high end price of a brand new one. Take a look around you on the road, you might notice more and more Saab models out there. How are all these people able to afford these cars? Are they all rich? Not necessarily. They might be taking advantage of purchasing used. Keep in mind that it might be hard to find a newer model with lower miles. Since Saab vehicles are very reliable, people tend to hang onto them for long periods of time and generally are able to put a lot of miles on them.
Finally, most people that are concerned about the environment really do not like all the emissions that come out of cars, but you can do your part by looking into a Saab. By purchasing a Used Saab puts into practice the popular phrase "Reduce Reuse and Recycle." Saab is also known for it's advanced green technologies in their vehicles. By purchasing a Used Saab, you are not only supporting their mission, but also advertising to everyone that sees your vehicle that the same concerns matter to you personally.
So not only does purchasing a Used Saab end up being more cost effective than purchasing brand new, it also helps you do your part and reduce your carbon footprint on the environment. Not only do you get to drive around in a reliable car, but you can feel good doing it too.

The New 2011 Chrysler Voyager Review

When the original Chrysler Voyager was launched in the mid-80s, it created the Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) as we know it today, a vehicle with seven or eight seats that drives like a car. It was such a hit that it sent all car manufacturers, including the Japanese and Europeans, back to the drawing boards to develop their own MPV models.
Twenty years on, with almost every car maker having its own interpretation of the Voyager, Chrysler has had to continually upgrade its MPVs to maintain a lead in the segment that it created. The present Grand Voyager is the second-generation model and was launched in the late 90s. It had an exterior facelift two years ago, and this year it gets the revolutionary 'Stow n Go ' seats.
Flexibility has always been key to the appeal of the MPV, but removing the seats and finding a place to store it is an issue, especially in the Asian markets where people don't often have garages. Before 'Stow n Go', the Grand Voyager had small castors under their seats so that they could be wheeled around, but they were still incredibly heavy to lift out of the vehicle. The solution is for seats that don't have to be lifted out, but completely disappear into the floor.
In actuality, the disappearing third row seat is not a new idea the original '96 Honda Odyssey had a third row bench that folded and flipped into a well in the floor, and the Voyager adopts this idea. But it is the folding of the second row seats that is especially clever. After five simple steps, and the tugging of several tabs and straps, the whole seat literally disappears into the floor without a trace. This is all the more impressive as the seat adjustment functions are not compromised when upright, it can both slide and recline.
The trick of course, is to have a seat which folds into as compact a bundle as possible, and this is achieved by having both the swab and backrest of equal length. This results in a rather low backrest for an otherwise comfortable seat. This means that for most adults, the headrest has to be raised to prevent it from cutting into the middle of their backs.
The mechanical of the Grand Voyager remain largely unchanged with a torquey 3.3-litre V6 making it feel well-powered and relaxed. Cruising is extremely effortless in the Chrysler, and there is an impressive absence of road- or engine-noise. It is also extremely well-equipped with a roof-mounted DVD player and plenty of storage areas.
There is also an abundance of automation on the Grand Voyager. Both the sliding rear doors are power-operated, as is the tailgate, and so are the hinged rear windows.
Everything can be controlled from the driver's seat, which is very convenient. The doors can also be opened and closed remotely with the key fob, useful on rainy days or when one's hands are full. The integration of a reversing monitor screen into the rear view mirror is also very thoughtful - it's a surprise no one else has thought about doing this. Quite clearly, the people at Chrysler are not resting on their laurels, but have continually added more and more convenient features to the MPV.
The only quirk in this otherwise impressive MPV is that the whole steering columns, along with the stalks, have been taken from a left-hand drive vehicle. This means the column gearshift is on the driver's right, when in most instances it is operated by the left hand. Apart from this, the Grand Voyager continues to impress, and maintains its title as the ultimate MPV, if price and size were no object.

The New 2010 Toyota Avalon

The 2010 Toyota Avalon has not been altered significantly from the 2009 model. The 2010 Avalon keeps the same 3.5-liter V6 engine as its predecessor, which produces 268 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque. This is the only engine available for all three trim options in the 2010 Avalon. This engine is a dual overhead cam (DOHC) 24-valve six-cylinder engine with Toyota's variable valve timing with intelligence (VVT-i), which makes the engine more responsive without hurting the fuel economy. The Avalon peaks in torque at just 4700 rpm, while maximum horsepower output comes at 6200 rpm.
This car is made to be stately and easy to drive, so all models include a standard six-speed automatic transmission. While it may seem that the Avalon's specs aren't any different from competing models like the Honda Accord and Nissan Maxima, what sets the Avalon apart is the engine's fuel economy. With 19 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, as well as a 23 mpg combined EPA rating, this is one of the most fuel efficient full-size sedans available. It is rated as a Ultra Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV) by the EPA, and its 18.5 gallon fuel tank gives it a range of 425 miles between fill-ups.
The Avalon's mighty V6 propels the car to 60 mph in just 6.4 seconds, which leads every car in its class but the Nissan Maxima, which makes the same run in 5.9 seconds. For a car this size, though, the acceleration isn't as important as considerations like the space and driving characteristics. This car aspires to the Lexus style of handling ease and comfort. While some drivers may be unsatisfied with the car's sportiness, those who want a reliably comfortable ride will enjoy the Avalon's ride.

The 2010 Saab 9-5

The Saab 9-5 design is over a decade old, but there are many changes on the horizon, especially for the power plant of the 2010 Saab 9-5. Under the new ownership of GM, Saab will be offering multiple engine options for the newest Saab 9-5. All of these new engines have been redesigned under the supervision of GM.
The smallest and most efficient engine option for the 2010 Saab 9-5 is the 1.6-lite turbocharged gasoline engine, which is capable of 180 horsepower. In fact, every engine being offered by Saab on the 2010 9-5 comes equipped with a turbocharged from the factory.
A step up in power from the 1.6-liter is the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, capable of 220 horsepower. There is also a second engine option for the standard 2.0-liter gasoline engine, and that is the E85 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo diesel, which puts out 160 horsepower, and can run on both conventional diesel and bio-diesel fuel.
However, the most powerful engine offered on the 2010 Saab 9-5 is the 2.8-liter turbocharged V6. The 2.8-liter V6 engine will top all the other engines in the Saab line, producing over 300 horsepower. There are also rumors that GM will offer a supercharged version of their 3.6-liter V6 which will offer over 350 horsepower, which will make the 2010 Saab 9-5 the most powerful sedan offered by Saab. However, this amount of power would be too much for a front wheel drive transmission, and would probably be featured on an all-wheel-drive platform.
All of the 2010 Saab models will come equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission with a manual shift override system. It is likely that only the European market will receive a true 6-speed manual transmission on the 2010 Saab 9-5, but it could be offered on the American market as well.

Best Forged Wheels For BMW

Feel like your BMW is just like every other 1 Series, 3 Series, 5 Series, 7 Series or X Series out there? Then it is time to replace those factory wheels with a custom forged wheel that will set your car apart.

Not Every Forged Wheel is the Same
There are a variety of factors that separate mainstream FW manufacturers from top quality forged monoblock or 1 piece and 3 piece wheel companies. HRE, DPE, and Vorsteiner are all renowned wheel manufacturers that produce top quality wheels that are built to order and application. When choosing a custom FW for your BMW, you want to consider the weight, materials, style and finish options. Top quality 1 piece and 3 piece FW manufacturers produce their wheels from T-6061 based alloy. The center barrels are machined from 1 single piece and not welded together like lesser quality manufacturers.

The HRE Monoblock series is the pinnacle of 1 piece FW production in that each wheel is fully machined from a single block of high strength alloy for maximum weight savings and optimal strength to weight ratios. This provides for a wheel that is track ready and suitable for street use. In addition, their unique designs will set your car apart and allow for a variety of styles and custom finish options.

Types of Forged Wheels
There are 3 main types of forged wheels for BMW- 1 Piece or Monoblock, 2 Piece and 3 Piece. Like their names, each is constructed using 1, 2 or 3 pieces. A 1 piece wheel offers maximum strength to weight ratios to provide the strongest possible wheel at the lightest weight possible. 2 Piece wheels are typically more affordable and are made from a center piece and separate outer lip. A 3 Piece wheel improves upon the 2 piece design with a separate lip, center and barrel. This allows for maximum customization as well as reduced weight.

Custom Options
The advantage to custom forged wheels is that they are built to order and to your specifications. A dealer will take into account your vehicle application to spec the correct size and offset so that the wheels sit flush with the fender and do not rub with the recommended tire range. Most wheel manufacturers including DPE, HRE and Vorsteiner can spec the wheels to clear a larger brake system as well as maximize the lip size if you choose a 3 piece forged wheel.

Forged wheels can be done in just about any color option and in some cases, like with Vorsteiner V-302 wheels, a 3 tone center. You can choose to match the color of the car or do an aggressive finish like matte black or matte silver. In addition, for 3 piece forged wheels, you can customize the lip color for a truly unique look.
While not the most affordable option, forged wheels are the only way to get a custom look for your car. They are also the pinnacle of wheel production and will provide the best quality and lowest weight.

New 2010 Saab 9-3

The Saab 9-3, Saab's near-luxury car, has no power-train changes for what will probably be its final year.
2.0T models have a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline four. Known as the LK9, this 16-valve, DOHC engine is part of GM's Ecotec family. It is all aluminum, with cast-iron cylinder liners and twin balance shafts for greater smoothness. With a compression ratio of 9.5:1 and up to 12.3 pounds of boost from its inter-cooled turbocharger, the LK9 produces 210 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque.
Aero models have a 2.8-liter turbocharged V6. This 24-valve, DOHC engine, known as the LP9, is part of GM's High Feature family, manufactured in Australia. It is all aluminum, with a forged steel crankshaft and connecting rods, a variable intake manifold, and continuously variable timing for both the intake and exhaust valves. The version in the 9-3 has a compression ratio of 9.5:1 and an intercooled, twin-scroll turbocharger, with a separate inlet from each cylinder bank to reduce turbo lag. In 2008, Saab raised maximum boost pressure from 7.3 psi to 11.6 psi, increasing output to 280 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque.
The 2.0-liter engine suffers more turbo lag than newer designs like Volkswagen's 2.0 TSI engine. It is slightly weak at low speeds, and power comes on with a bang once the turbo spools up. The 2.8-liter V6 has less lag. The 2.8T performs well at all speeds, although it is no stronger than the normally aspirated V6s in rivals like the Acura TSX. Both 9-3 engines are smooth, but their persistent exhaust drone at cruising speeds annoys some reviewers.

The 2007 Ford Mustang

Make no mistakes, the day of the pony car is still here and the 2007 Ford Mustang makes that statement boldly. While the imitators tried to compete with the original, they have fallen by the wayside leaving the Mustang the only pony produced in the '07 model year. The body styling is a continuation of the retro style revamp Ford created in 2005 and it is still looking sharp. The sold axle rear suspension has finally been tweaked so that the ride quality resembles what it should for a car in the 21st century. There is truly something for everybody with a price tag starting in the very affordable range.
Highlights for the year include a DVD navigation system and auxiliary input jacks for audio devices on all models. This is the ninth generation of these pony cars and they actually are more similar to the original in appearance than any previous models in recent times. The choice of engines remains impressive with either a V6 or V8 being offered. The V6 is 4.0 liter that puts 210 horsepower and 240 pound feet of torque. GT models come equipped with the larger 4.6 liter V8 and an all impressive 200 horsepower. All of these cars are rear wheel drive and have a standard five speed manual and a optional five speed automatic transmission. The GT models equipped with a manual transmission can easily go from 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds.
The trim packages offered for the 2007 Ford Mustang are the previously mentioned V6 and GT models which both come in either deluxe or premium packages. There is also a standard package for the V6 models that come with remote key-less entry, standard 16 inch wheels, AC, full power accessories, CD players, and power mirrors. V6 deluxe models come with alloy wheels and many other optional features. A V6 premium comes with a Shaker 500 stereo system with a CD changer, upgradeable wheels, and power driver seats. History of The Mini Car

An engineer with the British Motor Corporation (BMC) in the 1950s had a dream that a small car would be put outside the house of every working person. The car that Alec Issigonis designed eventually stood outside everything from a palace to a hovel. With a limited budget, he often sketched engineering plans on the back of envelopes, Issigonis and his team worked against the clock to get the car into production. Sir Alec died in 1988, but his car lives on.

The task of finding a new car was eventually given to Issigonis in 1957; BMC wanted him to produce a smaller version of the same vehicle, but Issigonis had his own ideas. He knew that if he were to build the best small car he would have to do better than copy others on the market.

The goal was to have a car about ten feet long. However, in a car only four feet two inches wide the engine with its attendant gearbox is too long to fit in the space available, Issigonis took the decision, with time running out, to mount the gearbox under the engine, which had never been tried before. It worked.

The car launched on 26 August 1959. It was priced at £496, which was roughly the price of the wrongly named Ford Popular, and nearly £100 cheaper than the Ford Anglia. At that price BMC were not just cutting their own throats, they were taking a hot bath and opening every vein in their corporate body.

The Mini was attractive to both tuners and racers. Leading this group was John Cooper. In 1959 and 1960 he was the World Champion Formula One racing car constructor and had had personal success in his 500cc special. Cooper felt strongly enough to go to the chairman of BMC, to ask if he could build a run of four seater GTs, after a brief meeting the chairman said 'yes, go away and do it'.

They planned to make 1000, but eventually made 150000. They altered and strengthened the engines and changed the gear ratios. The first Mini Cooper came out in October 1961. The Mini and Cooper became inseparable, even though there was never any official agreement between the two and Cooper only received a £2 royalty on every car for the research & development. The little car drove into a revolution. Driven by Princesses and harlots, pop stars and baronets, the car became a vital fashion accessory in the style capital of the world. The Mini was perfect, it was cheeky, and it was fun.

The Mini was one of the earliest cars to appeal strongly to women, who found the dumpy little thing friendly and accessible. There was obviously a danger of falling between the twin demands of women drivers and male boy racers, but the image of Fun satisfied both parties. The Mini, the sixties icon, passed two million sales in 1969 and survived them all.

A low centre of gravity and a wheel at each corner meant that fine handling was the Mini's greatest asset. Enthusiastic drivers soon discovered that hammering into a corner started to push the front wheels out, towards the oncoming traffic or the far verge. Until the advent of the Mini, people were used to oversteer building up, with the tail of the car coming round if too much enthusiasm overcame too little rubber. It was a new problem in rallying as well as on the road, but on the off tracks Scandinavian drivers provided a new answer - left foot braking.

While the rally cars were slaying Goliaths in the dirt, other Minis were slaughtering the competition on tarmac. John Surtees sat behind the wheel of an 850 Mini as early as 1960, and Minis continued to win saloon car races in later years. As in rallying, the competition caught up, even though the Minis kept getting faster. The A series engine could just about manage 140bhp, but the power train was fairly antique and absorbed a lot of power.

Despite the problems, Minis simply refused to give up. Alec Poole took the RAC saloon car championship in 1969 with his Arden prepared 1 litre Mini, the same year that Richard Longman beat off a huge Ford Falcon to take his Mini Cooper S over the line in the first ever race televised in colour. Longman and his Minis went on winning for some time, even securing the Group 1 RAC saloon car championship in 1978, when Group 1 was hardly the normal preserve of tiddlers like the Mini. It seemed frankly beyond belief that the little box scuttling around between all the big boys could possibly win, but Longman proved once again, nearly 20 years after it was established for the first time, that you should never under estimate the Mini.

It seems absurd that a car as popular as the Mini, which passed five million sales in 1986, could not have made a fortune, but the problems go back to the launch in 1959. It seems probable that the Mini was priced at its launch value of £496 simply to undercut the Ford Anglia. At first that cheap price actually put some people off since they imagined anything the cost of a Ford Popular would have the same level of primitive engineering, little realising that they were ignoring the bargain of the century.

It was not until 1977 that a computer accounting system told the management that the Mini was making a loss. During the following years, painful battles with the unions and the company's own improved methods of production and accountancy slowly started to turn things around.

The Mini should really have faded into glorious obscurity after the arrival of the Metro in 1980. The sales halved when the Metro was launched, but, there were enough sales to make it worth continuing to build them. The number of options and models declined, until there were just two main models left, the city and the Mayfair.

The Mini is a cultural icon and shows up in movies such as The Italian Job (1969), The Bourne Identity (2002) as a beat-up but surprisingly capable vehicle for a car chase; Goodbye Pork Pie (1981) where a yellow Mini 1000 is used to travel the length of New Zealand, and in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) as a collectible fashion icon garaged alongside other classic sports cars. It has also featured in television shows such as Mr Bean and (as the Mini Moke) in The Prisoner. Madeline Zimmer, in Jean-Luc Godard's Masculin féminin (1966), said she hoped her new single would be a big hit so she could buy a Cooper.

In the 1980s a very exclusive mini was available with only 3 being made. This was the BAC-M30 mini. The BAC-M30 featured a 1380 avonbar modified engine, was fitted with Recaro seats and a custom dashboard, with a price tag of £30,000. In 1994, under Bernd Pischetsrieder, a first cousin once removed of Issigonis, BMW took control of the Rover Group, which included the Mini, fitting an airbag to comply with European legislation.

By March 2000, Rover was still suffering massive losses, and BMW decided to dispose of most of the companies. The sell-off was completed in May that year. MG and Rover went to Phoenix, a new British consortium; and Land Rover was sold to Ford Motor Company. BMW retained the Mini name and the planned new model, granting Rover temporary rights to the brand and allowing it to manufacture and sell the run-out model of the old Mini. By April 2000, the range consisted of four versions: the Mini Classic Seven, the Mini Classic Cooper, the Mini Classic Cooper Sport and-for overseas European markets-the Mini Knightsbridge. The last Mini (a red Cooper Sport) was built on 4 October 2000 and presented to the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust in December of that year. A total of 5,387,862 cars had been manufactured. After the last of the Mini production had been sold, the 'Mini' name reverted to BMW ownership. The new 'BMW' Mini is technically unrelated to the old car but retains the classic transverse 4-cylinder, front-wheel-drive configuration and iconic "bulldog" stance of the original.

The New 2010 Hyundai Tucson

The Hyundai Tucson compact sport-utility vehicle ("SUV") is all-new for the 2010 model year. Its bolder new style is inspired by Hyundai's new overall design theme called "fluidic sculpture". The look emphasizes sportiness, prominent body creases to make the design distinct, and aerodynamics.

The new Tucson is larger and more powerful than the 2009 model. It is 4.5 inches longer, 3 inches lower, and 1 inch wider than the 2009 model. Under the hood, the Tucson has 36 more horsepower than last years model. Impressively, despite offering more room and more power, the new Tucson is 64 pounds lighter, in front-wheel drive, four-cylinder form than the 2009 model. With two-wheel drive, the new Tucson is rated at 31 miles per gallon the freeway.

The 2010 Tucson is a definite competitor in the crossover compact SUV class. It offers more interior room than the Ford Escape. It also offers slightly more horsepower than the Escape and Nissan Rogue. On the flip side, it offers slightly less space and horsepower than the Toyota RAV-4 and Honda CR-V. All of these models have between 170 and 180 horsepower in four-cylinder form. Only the Toyota RAV-4 offers a V-6 option among these vehicles. Hyundai has discontinued the V-6 option for the new Tucson.

Standard features in the 2010 Tucson include Downhill Brake Control Hillstart Assist, Bluetooth, and an improved all-wheel drive system. A six-speed automatic transmission is also standard. New options for 2010 include a panoramic sunroof and a touch-screen navigation system.

The Tucson offers two model choices; the GLS and the Limited, both in two-wheel drive and all-wheel drive form. The Limited model has such amenities as leather seats, larger wheels, panoramic sunroof eight-way power driver's seat, a rear camera, and a 6.5-inch touch-screen navigation system, among other features.

Toyota uses their top-notched engineering skills in their cars, SUVs, and trucks to surpass the safety standards set by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and their products have been over and over again perfectly exceptional throughout the course of testing and evaluation. Toyota revealed more than a few unique technological advances to guarantee the safety of the passengers because Toyota does not only intend to make superior cars but also construct secure and consistent vehicles. Keep these safety parts in check to make your driving fluently smooth.

Brake Pad
This is the anti-friction material lining used in disc brakes, brake pads give support to decrease heat up and enhance the living period of your TOYOTA braking elements. The rubbing of your car's brake pads against the rotor is transformed to stopping power. It depends mainly on the composition of the brake pad and your driving behavior that wear rates may differ. Brake pads should be substituted on a regular basis. Normally, the initial indication of tattered brake pads is a squealing sound. The squealing occurs when the wear indicator on your brake pad touch next to the rotor.
The brake pad is probably the most vital protection of your car. With no effusive functional brake pad, you are inviting a disaster each time you drive.

Oxygen Sensor
Oxygen is a very significant element for your car's internal ignition, you have to check or gauge its level of content to ensure ideal running condition of your car's emission system. The oxygen sensors help out the engine to reach a proficient performance and create fewer and safer emissions.
Oxygen sensors just like the Toyota oxygen sensor are spark plug-shaped deliberately designed to dish up as a central component of the car's emission system and that of the exhaust control system. In the greater view of the subject, an oxygen sensor is an electronic piece of equipment that measures the percentage of oxygen in the gas or liquid that is being analyzed.

Head Lights
Headlights are illumination piece of equipment intentionally designed to provide lighting at some stage of low visibility periods such as night time and rain or smoggy surroundings. Headlights are fixed in front of the car to illuminate the road ahead of and point you with your driving. In addition to this function, headlights also provide as a safety apparatus because it gives out signal to the oncoming vehicles of you being there. Without headlights, driving at low visibility is completely unsafe.
Headlights are normally in pairs particularly in passenger-carrying road vehicles where they are usually placed on each side of the frame. It is very essential that the two headlights are carrying out as it should be to avoid the discernment by an approaching vehicle that what you are driving is car and not a motorcycle and letting him take the protective measures upon passing you by.
Toyota is undoubtedly the best Japanese brand that infiltrated the global car market. Being Japan's biggest car manufacturer and second in the world, Toyota's technological proficiency in making vehicles and advanced engineering is world renowned.

The Rolls - Royce 200EX

The luxury car legend that is Rolls-Royce has presented us with yet another exotic beauty to add to their collection-the 200EX. Reviews are in for the new Rolls-Royce, and we are adding to them.

The 200EX stems from the experimental prototypes that the company created during the pre-war era, albeit more modern. The official debut of the Rolls 200EX is scheduled for the Geneva Motor Show next month, with the production model expected to emerge at the Frankfurt Motor Show later in the year.

The interior is impressive, as one would expect from a Rolls. Luxury amenities come standard in this model, including frosted lamps, violin key switchgear, chrome door handles and an ergonomic roller-ball controller for the systems. The interior of a luxury car is equally important to the exterior, now let's get to that.

The 200EX is unmistakably a Rolls-Royce, boasting design cues derived from the Phantom and the Drophead Coupe. The new member to the Rolls family is more compact than its predecessors, measuring in at 212.6 inches long, 83 inches wide and 61 inches tall. This new size option should help the luxury brand in its marketing endeavors, enabling it to reach new buyers with daintier preferences.

The wheelbase is 129.7 inches, and the 200EX boasts beautiful seven-spoke, 20-inch wheels. Exact engine specs should be available by the Frankfurt Motor Show, as they are still in deliberations we assume. Rumor has it that the Rolls 200EX will be powered by an all-new V12 engine. It certainly seems to be following the BMW 7 Series platform.

The new Rolls-Royce 200EX proves yet again that they are the standard in the luxury motoring realm. Further detail will emerge as we get closer to the official release. For more information on Rolls-Royce rentals and more, follow link to our luxury blog and luxury rental cars.

The New Citroen C4 Review

Isn't interesting how things come full circle? Take for example the latest Citroen C4, the dramatic and stylish replacement for the uninspired mid-range Xsara and ZX models. After almost a decade and a half of Peugeot ownership, and the efforts to increase market share by making conventionally-styled cars, Citroen finally realized that the brand really needed to return to the defiant, innovative spirit that characterized models such as a DS, GS and CX from the 50s, 60s and 70s.

There used to be a joke in the 80s and 90s that each new Citroen model had to have a larger double chevron badge than the earlier models because it was increasingly difficult to tell Citroens apart from Peugeots and Renaults. Well, with the C4, this is definitely not the case, even if the double chevron has become larger and incorporated on the grille; this will be the new identity for all future Citroen models. Grille apart, the C4 has bold arching lines, making it look like a stretched and more dynamic C3. From the up turned headlamps in front, to the sloping rear, the C4 looks distinctive and unique, but also well proportioned and stylish. Even while standing still, its mild cab forward stance gives it a thrusting, forward motion. There is no mistaking this new Citroen for another brand of car.

On the inside as well, the C4 recalls the futuristic dashboards of Citroens' passed. The futuristic digital instrument binnacle is a floating pod located in the middle of a symmetrical dashboard. The speedometer, fuel and temperature gauges, as well as the distance-to-empty reading for fuel, are all displayed in this singular LCD panel, and it is impressively easy to read. More than just a conventional digital display, the panel is actually translucent, and it changes colour according to the amount of light falling on it.

The tachometer, gear selection and warning lights are mounted in a separate pod directly in front of the driver, and the entire assembly moves up and down when the steering is adjusted. Instead of having a red-line, the tachometer display itself changes to red when the engine is over-revved.

Perhaps of the most radical aspect of the C4's dashboard is the steering boss. Instead of turning with the wheel, it remains in place. This means the switches mounted on it (cruise control on the left and in-car hi-fi on the right) don't move, and are actually easier to use this way. Having a fixed steering boss also allowed for the mounting of a larger two stage airbag for the driver. Like all innovative designs, one must ask why nobody thought of it any earlier? It is refreshing that Citroen is designing interesting dashboards again through intelligent re-thinking and questioning of the status quo, and not just for the sake of being different.

But unique looks aside, the C4 is also a great drive - the throttle is lively and responsive, and the steering feels positive and tactile, on top of being a wonderfully innovative design. Citroens have always been involving and good to drive, but with the C4, they once again have the distinctive looks to match. Sure, Alfa Romeos sound better, Honda's are more free-revving and the Mini has a sharper steering, but the C4 drives as though its suspension, engine and chassis are perfectly choreographed, each component playing its part so that the whole ensemble gives an outstanding and well-rounded performance.
