The 2010 Hyundai Sonata

Offering a lot of accessories for a relatively small price, the 2010 Hyundai Sonata is a great choice for consumers who need a family sedan. In '09 the model was entirely revamped, having been given a much need quality upgrade on the interior. Outside the body is relatively modest yet still looks like it deserves to be in the 21st century. The Sonata is a sleeper car where consumers won't notice exactly what it offers until they get and drive one. Having a great range of accessories and trim packages, consumers have a lot of choices to make at the car lot.

As mentioned before the interior quality of construction and materials has been greatly improved in recent years. The vehicle is more closely related to a luxury vehicle on the inside than most competitors. The plethora of available options make this an ideal vehicle, especially when comparing basic models with those of competitors. For virtually the same price as another manufacturers basic model, you can get what seems like a fully loaded vehicle from Hyundai.

Trim packages available include the CLS, SE and Limited Editions. Basic GLS models have remote keyless entry, AC, cruise control, heated mirrors, comfortable seats, 60/40 rear seats, leather steering wheels and shift knobs. For an additional price consumers can get accessory controls on the steering, Bluetooth, sunroofs, and wood grain accents. For a basic model there is a whole lot the Hyundai is offering for the 22010 Hyundai Sonata. Nearly more accessories are available on this base model than some mid-level packages offered by competitors.

Se models have 17 inch alloy wheels, automatic headlamps, rear spoiler, sport suspension, telescoping steering wheels, chrome interior and exterior accents, tech ports, and an optional 6 CD changer. Limited Edition models have basically the same features as the SE equipped models, with just a few extras. Standard features include auto dimming mirrors, dual zone climate controls, and an excellent stereo systems. There are many other options that consumers can choose from on most models to customize the vehicle to their own preferences.

For engines the 2010 Hyundai Sonata comes with a 2.4 liter four cylinder that gives out 175 horsepower and 168 foot pounds of torque. The other engine offered is 3.3 liter V-6 engine that gives 249 horsepower. The smaller engine gets 22 mpg city and 32 mpg highway. Models equipped with the larger engine get a fuel economy of 19 mpg city and 29 mpg highway. The overall fuel economy is relatively decent and comparable to most competitors in the family sedan market, if not slightly better than some.

Standard safety features for these cars include antilock brakes, front airbags, side airbags, and full curtain airbags, and head restraints. For frontal impact crash tests the 2010 Hyundai Sonata scored perfect. Side impact crash tests were rated perfect as well. The braking capabilities are what makes this one of the safest vehicles. Both engines on any model were brought to a complete stop from 60 mpg in 126 feet.

There are a lot of good things to be said about the 2010 Hyundai Sonata. perhaps the most noticeable feature is how many interior options consumers will receive for the price that they pay. Engine performance is another area that these vehicles excel. Models equipped with the 3.3 liter V-6 are more than adequately powered, and may lead consumers to feel like they are driving a sports car, rather than a family sedan. Ride quality and overall passenger comfort makes this one of the best all around vehicles in the class, and the price tag only further solidifies that notion.
